Gents this side of the forum is way too dead and dry while I understand 100k + ownership level drops quite a bit. I wanted to start a thread what are your other rides besides m8/ 8 series ( not your wife's or partners ). Here's my Cayenne GTS nicely optioned and specd it's my daily even though I've been working remote for the past 8 years. I'm contemplating of selling it and getting a x4m comp . Thoughts ?

I love the Cayenne, but I'm more of a 911 guy. Which is too similar to the m8 to be a daily driver over the other. My wife has the Lincoln, but I've always liked Lexus and Infiniti.
We have multiple cars, but mine is the QX80 for daily.

I don't know your situation, but if I was you I'd probably buy the x4comp for a daily.

Yep. If you're near Dulles airport, message me. The QX80 is nice but very large. However with wife, kids, grandparents and everyone it's fully full most of the time.

The new 2019 and 2020 QX80 limited edition has new Hydraulic suspension that really makes a difference. It's 10x easier to drive. Certainly not anything compared to an x5 or even x7; but it's honestly a similar sporty drive as the x7 m50 and similar v8 horsepower.

That said, I'm probably getting an x8m to replace it when it dies and the x8m comes to us.

Love mine! Although I'm still on the M6GC side of things, I snuck over and found this thread. Recently added a SOUL Performance catless DP and it makes me love the GTS all over again.

If you don't mind the harsh ride, X4M is a decent vehicle, although Porsche just nails the ride and handling balance, and the looks too.

We have (wife's car) an X4 M40d and though the M version is a different beast, I can tell you I am (very) positively surprised by how the new G02 handles - at ANY speed. I have driven 255 km/h with this in Germany on curvy Autobahnen and the car felt rocksolid glued to the road. And I can say the same for alpine routes and curvy countryside roads. I am really happy (wife let's me drive it most of the time anyway) with the X4. Just imagine how the X4M Comp does then compared to its little brothers. I personally would take the X4 all the way over the Cayenne as I think the new X4 is sexy too and a different beast compared to the previous model. Actually the new X4 is slick too and when next to an X6 it certainly does not hide from it.

Yea new x4m 500 HP new m3/'4 engine. Brand new on lease or keep this 2014 GTS it's super spec'd literally with every Porsche option available accessories with only 23k miles on the clock.

So keep the Porsche as my daily or sell and get super top value as a private sale and get a new x4m on lease .....

I am a total amateur to Porsche . Last decade since college it's only been M and AMG vehicles for me . I got an insane deal early spring this year on my Cayenne. It was a single owner car unfortunately the original owner passed and his wife just wanted this off from garage . I made a bonkers stupid offer all cash she accepted . Drove 1900 miles in 7 months . I'm still learning the car as I drive more between sports mode Porsche exhaust and manual mode. Drives good handles really good for a suv it's size.
420 HP V8 somehow I feel it's not as fast .

You'll definitely want to test drive an X3/4M then, the engine is much stronger on the top end than low down, X3/4 M40i could also be good options.

I have an m8 convertible which I am definitely keeping for at least a year. I just sold my m850 to order. 2021 m3 comp to replace it . The engine is the same as the new x3/x4m. That's the only thing holding me back . Might just keep the Porsche not sure I'm having local car enthusiasts offering me 46-47k for it . It's kept super well . I wanted to get a Gle53 coupe as daily but since Mercedes decided to stop swaps on their leased cars that changed everything for me as I switch cars all the time.

Have you test driven the X4M? I am sure you will fall in love with it and you will really like the ride of the new G02. In the past I was not a fan of SUVs/SAVs or anything similar, but after test driving the already powerful X4 M40 version (whether it be D or I) I completely changed my mind. So if you go top of the range with the X4M Comp it will get even better, sportier and faster and I believe you will still have a very decent ride quality in NON-sports modes.
