Bootmod3

So playing around with bootmod3 since it was 15% off, figured $760 well spent. But I can't figure out which map to use and you only get 1.

Does anyone know which one of the 100000 maps to choose?

I would start with stage 1 and see how the car feels. From the list below I would take the following one to begin and feel the improvement already:

Stage 1 93 octane: up to 23% HP / 12% TQ

Stage 1 ACN91 octane: up to 16%HP / 11% TQ
Stage 1 91 octane : up to 20% HP / 12% TQ
Stage 1 93 octane: up to 23% HP / 12% TQ
Stage 1 E30 octane: up to 40% HP / 23% TQ
Stage 2 ACN91 octane: up to 20%HP / 16% TQ
Stage 2 91 octane: up to 22% HP / 18% TQ
Stage 2 93 octane: up to 26% HP / 18% TQ
Stage 2 E30 octane: up to 45% HP / 25% TQ
Stage 2 Race Gas: up to 45% HP / 25% TQ
Stage 2 AGG (Aggressive burble) versions of maps also available.

Do respect the fuel type indications since cheap fuel can cause misfires or simply not obtaining the full power the map is actually made to achieve!

On my F32 435iXdrive I used the Stage 2 with AGG burble map which required hardware mods which the car had and never had any issues.

For the M850i I do not see any hardware mods recommended (no downpipe mentioned, intercoolers, chargepipe etc.) so you should be good with both stage 1 and stage 2. I would try stage 1 first and match it with 93 oct or higher. I usually fuel Shell V-Power 100 RON here. Stage 2 AGG will give you the nice aggressive burble back in case you lost it through a software update! You made a great choice BM3 rocks and there is a lot of infomation on bimmerpost forums to be obtained. Also feel free to ask the guys at PTF for a direct advise since they are FAST and very customer friendly in responding. I bought licenses for 2 cars from them and would buy again anytime.

yeah I use 93 or 95 octane, and I wanted the burbles but I didn't see that one. when I connected my laptop, there was 800 choices.
when I look online I see these choices, but I can't match it to the one connected screen.

I couldn't see that as only you see all the options when you are logged in and purchased a licence. Their tune is optimized (Stage 2) to work with those modifications but the tuners I have spoken to in Germany prior to flash tuning mine said the M850i (N63T) is absolutely fine even without any of those upgrades. If you were to drive full power very often or tracked the car to the limit then it would be a wise choice to improve on those (downpipes, exhaust etc..). Ultimately it depends on how one regularly drives with it.

That's a shame. They checked it so you will get a refund right?
