Carbon Fiber Bonnet / Hood

Hi all,
Been thinking about this cabron fiber bonnet from Manhart Performance but it's designed for the M8 of course.. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the M8 F9x and 8 series G1x bonnets are interchangeable? Of course the M8 has some upfront changes but the headlights look the same as well as the bonnet itself.. just looking for some insight really!

https://www.manhart-performance.de/s...-gtr-air-vents

Thanks

Might be worth calling or emailing Manhart as well.

Oh nice I'll have to check out G Power. I have emailed Manhart but no response yet.. according to oemparts.com the hood is the same on the G14, G15, G16, F91, F92 and F93! So that's good news at least, assuming it's correct of course.

Manhart was horrible to deal with. I had issues with them.

I've had no problems with G Power And they have a shop distributor near me. The numbers look good and their parts look great. I've had good communication with them. But I haven't bought it yet.

I got some very non descript info from Manhart. Wasn't impressed. I wanted to see the under side and how they deal with water coming in.
Got no where. Gave up.

There appears to be no protection from water pouring in those vents. That makes no sense to me.
Anybody see something I don't? Water on the engine? Am I blind?

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. They have a what's app link number; and they are very responsive. I'd message them on whatsapp and see what he says.

I have ManHart on my M8 and while I was in Florida raining season I didn’t face any problems because the engine is covered anyway so I don’t see any reason to worry about that

I respect your experience as you have the hood and I don't.
But for me water pouring into my engine compartment doesn't seem good. I do know there are some cover under there but Water will migrate all over under there.
I just don't see this being good. I've never seen any OEM hood vents or slots without some type of water management underneath them.
Imo there should be some trays attached to the hood with hoses to direct the water.

Well I see your point , but we as far as I know there isn’t an after market hood like the OEM hoods and vents therefore water will always find a way in. I didn’t bother because on my previous car M5 I had a ManHart CF Hood for 5 years and never faced a problem when water leaks through the vents. But everyone have their own reasons and points and I respect it. Peace
