M8 Akrapovic exhaust pops and bangs??

Hey guys, thanks for all your help! Anyways, got the car and love it! Still looking for more as far as sound though. So I think I am going to go forward with the exhaust and secondary catless downpipes…

With that being said, a pretty highly regarded shop around here said he could do them no problem, but he said I’d need a tune or it would throw a CEL… my question is, how do I tell him he is wrong without pissing him off or anything lol? Because tbh I have no idea about anything really, I’m just going off what I’ve read on here. So I don’t want to tell him I think he’s wrong and then have no actual info to back it up with… lol any advice??

That was not experience. My dealership installed the akra full exhaust. He said it was easy, basically plug and play because Acrapovic makes the exhaust for the M racing division. I’ve been driving around for almost 2 years with no CEL and no tune.

I think he was talking about catless secondary pipes

Secondaries are not monitored hence no CEL

Unless you changed the primary to catless, you won’t have CEL from secondary.
