Thanks Alan. Luckily, the northern harrier, like it's namesake fighter jet, tends to fly very low. This lady was probably about 5 feet off the ground as i fired away.

Ed,
I visited your Elk hole along with watching the BAs from Mt. Tam.
He was only a bit horny along with his buds from that side of the fence, on the other side of the road they had all the horns. The girls were closer to the beach.

There were ~6 all missing one horn. This one would almost cross his back legs as if he was wounded. I think they might keep the losers together.

If you don't mind a suggestion, or two, next time raise the ISO and shutter speed to stop action. Also, be aware of the direction of sun and try to get her face out of shadows. You could also start shooting in Raw and use a Raw conversion program, like Lightroom, to raise the shadows on her face.

Always will take pointers. Got the wife a Nikon D7000 however I sometimes take it for some pics and have gotten some great shots but she does much better than me though...
