"The 2022 M8 Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe Competition are all listed on the EPA's website, ..The standard M8 models are notably absent from the EPA website, as only the M8 Competition variants are listed. Schmuck confirmed that all three M8 variants would only be offered in Competition guise for the 2022 model year."

This is completely marketing decision for BMW to make more money from nothing.
M8 is already overpriced and BMW knows costumers are looking for +20k discount. BMW also knows $13000 difference costs max $3000 (CP includes $3500 for full leather and couple competition package badges) and that's it. changing the map to generate 17 more horse power or minor change in suspension is not a real cost so instead of selling the base 133k with 20k discount, they prefer to offer 20k discount on a 146k car that cost them around 3k more than 133k and not 13k ... 10k saving

People seemed to be alluding that the pricing guide for the 2022 Competitions were a bit more aggressive. calbears mentions the M8C Coupe starting at 130k, but I'm not sure of his source. Some ordering guides have been out, but I haven't seen a pricing guide yet:

I'm interested in the 2022 Competition Coupe, but very interested if they come out with an M8 CS Competition Coupe.

Now, what about the rumors of European Delivery being back? That would be a nice combo.

Here you go.
2022 M8 competition starting 130k (compare to 2020 M8 non competition starting at 133k)
Also compare to 2020 M8 competition starting at 146K; however full leather seat is not part of competition anymore and costs $3500 so basically BMW dropped the Competition price by $12500.

Alll the same. Instead of negotiating and settling on a price $20k off sticker (on the 20s), now they are starting lower by $12k and people will be negotiating only $8-9k. Maybe you can a better deal on the 22s but they could also play with lease numbers and most likely the monthly lands in similar territory to the 20s. BMW isn’t losing shit here.

Yup. Thats what I already said earlier in this thread.
I believe M8 Competition is still overpriced at 130k. This car will be at dealers lot for over 135k and will be sold around 125k...
and this is the trick for 3 years 30k mile lease:
150k 2020 M8 CP , with 25k discount and 53% residual will be ended to 45k depreciation + interest + tax
135k 2022 M8 Cp , with 10k discount and 53% residual will be ended up to 55k depreciation + interest + tax

As far as finance, both cars are priced around 125k for purchase!

I don't think the pricing is that bad compared to an M6 plus inflation and various additional features as standard.

I'm surprised full leather isn't included though and maybe free individual paint would be cool too.

The MSRP for the 2022 M5 CS is $143,995.00 which includes destination and gas guzzler taxes.
