my M8 Gran Coupe Competition

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I present my 2020 BMW M8 Competition Grand Coupe. I feel awkward doing so at such a turbulent time across the world. Being a physician myself, I know the impact this virus has caused across the world and its recent arrival to the USA has only begun to manifest itself. I was able to take these photos today in Los Angeles, where it has been raining all week and will continue to rain this coming week (yes, very strange of Los Angeles). It was a good opportunity to get out of the house for a moment while maintaining appropriate social distancing – there was nobody at the beach. My lease was expired and my ordered car came, so in spite of what I consider poor-timing and almost poor-taste to obtain such a car at such a bad time, I was able to get this all wrapped up prior what I hope to be a quite rest of the month for me and the family – at home.

The car is Dravit Gray metallic, with Silverstone interior. All available options except for the carbon ceramic brakes. Several ceramic coating layers were applied this morning.

I wish you all safety and good health, remind you wash your hands constantly and only use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available. Maintain appropriate distance from others, don’t go to work if you don’t have to. Honestly, don’t go anywhere if you don’t have to. Protect your elderly family by maintaining distance and encouraging them to remain home.

The sun will shine again soon...

Congratulations!
It's a pity what's happening around the globe, one could only hope it gets better with time.
I hope you enjoy it in good health! Stay safe.

Love it. I know I have the same feeling as a physician as well (as is most of my family including my spouse). I feel for those that will struggle and those that are struggling especially hourly workers who are having those hours cut. All we can do is continue to care for those who need us and keep our doors open for them.

Congrats! Dravit on Silverstone for the win. Amazing combo but I’m biased

Stay healthy everyone. I am working from home and watching my kids for the next 3 weeks. Hope I have enough alcohol

Congrats, beautiful car.

I'm in the same boat with an 840GC arriving in a few weeks. The timing did feel awkward to me as well; slightly comforted by others being in the same boat and acknowledging it. Thanks.

Congrats on your new ride! That's a beautiful color.

We all gonna die sooner or later, so no need to panic. Enjoy it while it lasts. Sorry I've developed some really dark humor & cynicism throughout the years.

Congratulations on the new ride.
I can quarantine your ride for the next 2-3 weeks.

Haha I agree; Limey's car/build is already far more interesting than my car. I have never been one to mod - although I may consider some coding/chip/pipe changes for this car once we all emerge from this virus madness.

Thank you all for the kind comments!

Congrats as Dravit Grey and Silverstone is an amazing color combination. That said it is indeed a new dynamic given COVID-19 and the overall impact across the globe. I'm the CTO for the largest Payer in AZ and we've been planning for weeks now to ensure we can all work from home. On the business front we erased all the commercial boundaries that previously limited our telehealth services to open them up to all members regardless of the cost to our bottom line. We're also waving all co-pays, lab fees, etc. for core COVID-19 testing.

Stay healthy everyone!

Totally agree. My heart goes out to all of those that given whatever circumstances are living paycheck-to-paycheck and impacted now with all of the shutdowns.
