The new A/C unit on the latest BMWs does give the dashboard a very neat and almost buttonless look while still retaining actual physical buttons and not jumping on the terrible all touch-screen bandwagon. But those central metallic buttons (I hope they are metal?) can look really bad on video, often a little bit misaligned, more worryingly sometimes color mismatched 🤔

I've seen the 8er a lot of times now and I would say that the buttons didn't look to have any colour mismatch. The quality of them though, I'm not sure they are any better than my X6, although visually they look better. Latest Porsche models seem to be the best looking and feel if not functionally as good due to lack of rotary controller.

Doug is quirky but I truly enjoy his enthusiasm and his attention to the mundane details. Millions of people agree. I also love that he reviews new cars as well as old ones; all of them special in some way.

Well, that just sucks. Are there still buttons on the left stalk for high-beam assist and board computer?

What's with the haters. Just don't watch. For someone actually interested in buying the car his reviews are good.

I don't like him as a personality and he isn't very entertaining, but I do like his thoroughness. If you are shopping for a car, it's best to see what things he highlights about the features. His reviews are likely better product information than anyone on the internet, especially considering virtually all reviews are bought and paid for by the car company being reviewed. We also don't need to know what it's like to hold a long slide on a race track since virtually no one will do that to the car, even the guys who do track their cars.

Car is just too expensive. Gotta hand it to these car makers. Make 80 different versions of car so people can buy a special one and feel elite. So refreshing when someone approaches my f80 and we can have a legit convo about cars and not what my lease payement is lol

I rather stay with smaller models of bmw. I would much prefer a s63/s550 coupe over this, the rear seat of this luxury gt is smaller than my m4's back seat 🤷*♂️ ridiculous. Not worth the extra 35k for me
