335i paddle shifter re-wiring

I ordered an e92 335 while I wait for an e92 m3. As you probably know, the paddle-shift setup in the 335 has a thumb-push downshift and finger-pull upshift, for both paddles. I like the SMG paddle arrangement with downshifts by pulling the left paddle and upshifts by pulling the right paddle.

I am considering rewiring the left hand paddle shifter in the 335 to have a pull for a downshift (and probably rewire the upshift as well, even if not required).
Anyone done this? Thoughts/guidance?
