Has anybody painted their garage floor?

Just moved in to our new home and always liked the clean and sleek look of a clear painted concrete floor.

Has anyone ever used Amorpoxy or similar? Pics?

Thanks.

Stew, he was going to, but I beleive the painter quoted him the wrong price, it was way more than what was quoted, so he didn't do it in the end

I bought some stuff from Lowes when I was living in Colorado and it turned out pretty good. I added some dirt lightly for traction since I had an uphill driveway. The clear floor looks great what product is it?

Well, sounds like it's around 70 bucks agallon (they say you need 2 gallons for an average 2 car garage), plus they sell the pre-clean stuff, etc...but it sounds "reasonable" and easy to do.

Naw, that a sample pic from the Amorpoxy site that has the stuff you need. They've also got the stuff that I think bmwexec wanted his floor to look like.

They also sell this stuff you can put in the paint so it has some traction, not as slick. It's Amorpoxy. Check out: http://www.armorpoxy.com/index.html

i am going to stain mine (looks like paint)... it doesn't have the shine as epoxy but there is no chance of hot tire pick up... like nearly all epoxy paints.

I used BEHR 2-part epoxy. I was a kit that had everything you need, including cleaner/etcher and roller. Went pretty smoothly. I needed 3 to do my garage. It's not as glossy as neuron's, but ya, epoxy is great!

Yeah, it looked something like that. I think most people want something that will not leave tire marks. The epoxy stuff I had did that and I had to put some outdoor carpet strips along where the wheel traveled. I didn't want to but didn't know what else to do.

That looks good jayz4. Like the non-glossier look.

Okay, I see you're in LA.... that garage surface looks like it would wipe out entire families in snowy climates.

It'll still wipe out families in LA when a tsunami hits. But at that point, F* the garage, where's a boat?...

Yeah, we have an epoxy on our floors (I think it's by Rustoleum, got it at Home Depot)... and as you can see, it flakes and lifts over time. Keep in mind the garage is filthy at the time, and it's been about 5 years since I painted it.
