M8 Pricing?

Are there any price figures on the M8 already? Even though i may not be able to pick one up right away i'm highly anticipating it.

No info on pricing, but basically assume at least $20k more than base M850i. Look at the price difference between a base M550i and a M5 and use that as a starting point. Also remember certain options will be expensive like the carbon package, the competition and carbon ceramic brakes. My guess is a well equipped comp with CF brakes is knocking on $160k

Yep more like 30k plus so I would guess M8 would start at 149,900...So your 160k would be about right once you pick a few 'options'. At this price there should be no priced options.

There is a difference between base M850 and base M550. In fact M850 is well equipped compare to M550 so basically base M8 should have the same options M850 has + m powertrain and CF roof. I guess M8 starting point is around 135k which is already well equipped, but agree with you about 160 if you add CP package, Carbon brakes and other CF stuff.
Keep in mind the base F13 M6 was around 110K...

As much as love BMWs and always will, the company is in no way a producer of £120k + cars no matter what !!, just look at what the they have to compete with in that segment, Astons, Bentley, Porsche etc, etc.

Granted you are not comparing 100% like for like, but at this end your splitting hairs. No doubt there will be huge discounts

760iL

...but I get your point entirely, seems like BMW are teaching a fair bit.

M8 Comp with ceramics and few options, full leather will be 170k+, can mark my words.

They will be un-leasable and sit on dealer lots for months on end.

Why would anyone buy an M8 over a 911? Is it because of the extra power?

When I was looking for my M6 I decided that 911s were too small for both people and luggage, attracted too much attention and the day to day comfort isn't there.

Ultimately you're comparing a front engine personal luxury car against a car with the engine behind the driver built as a sports car from the start.

To me the M6 is a cut price DB11, Conti GT, S Class or FF and is probably just as fast or faster around a track than all of them. The M8 ultimately will be the same thing, but hopefully able to keep up with the new DBS and GTC4 which is are the only 4 seater cars that have a similar overall ethos in my opinion.

If a fully loaded (minus dumb options like bmw valve covers and +4 years warranty) M850i is 129k to my specs, I would imagine a "loaded" M8 will be over 150k. And that's before adding the entire M Performance list and more to the shopping cart. After its all installed, tinted, ceramic coated...175k..thats Porsche Turbo money

Sort of. Once you add all the options to the Porsche, you're easily north of 200k.

Also, very different cars, as others have pointed out.

How do you have a production number if allocation hasn't been released to dealerships yet? 🤔

I'm with you. I've owned 14 BMWs over the years but at that price I would be looking at the Panamera or 911.

The Competition coupe fully loaded is around 175k loaded, you can easily be at the price of the Turbo S, but a Turbo S optioned out will be north of 200k. With that being said, it's still a few thousand less that the S63 AMG. Also I think the Convertible will add at least another 10-12k to the price.
