Saw signal green on a few ///M3 here, and the green from your R8 looks darker.
So I've no idea...

It is Viper Green - originally a Porsche colour.

The car in OP's pic isn't the car in your forum link. That's a first gen R8. The OP's is a 2nd gen.

It looks to be Signal Green, however. That'd be my guess. Viper Green has a touch more blue in it.

Viper Green VS "RS" Green VS Signal Green is a long standing debate. Many don't realize these are all different colors, and there are coded variants to each of these colors depending when the color was ordered from Porsche.

My guess is this is Signal Green code 22S, which is the variant currently approved if someone orders their Porsche PTS "Signal Green". If not, I'd guess it's "RS" Green code 2D8, which is actually just called "Green" (or rather, Grun) by Porsche. "Green" is the color you see on the green 997.1 GT3RS.

Signal Green 22S 991:

The thing is, all of these colors are VERY close. The camera, lighting, editing, and screen you view the pic on will all change how they look. The best way to tell the difference is to see some of these colors in person but they aren't exactly the most common finds

Your photo's labeled 997, but that's a 991.1. Just trying to keep things straight in a thread full of very small differences.
