Granted, I've never owned a BMW so can't make a comparison. The 35 was always my favorite looking vs the 37 but the 35 def looks dated now. Latest iteration just doesnt do it for me. Not liking the rear quarter. |

Those were the golden days. I daily drive a Q50 and I can tell you that the handling/steering feel is nowhere as nicely tuned as the G37S was ( I had 2 G37S back in the day, both 6MT). The E90/92 chassis is miles better then the Q50 and from my estimate the Q60 as well. But we'll wait and see, I'm going for a drive in one in the next week or so, so I'll report back.

I saw the car live today and it's pretty nice. A lot on this forum will say it's busy and it might be a little but Infiniti looks like it's serious about competing in this segment with this car.

I absolutely loved both of my G35 coupes as well as my current G37x sedan. Once I put lowering springs and sway bars on the sedan it handled like a dream. But it was still shy of the precision of my 6 years older e92 with coilovers. I love the way this new Q60 looks but what scares me more than the crappy digital steering model they decided to use, is the outdated 7 speed auto transmission. This is the same trans in my '13 X sedan and I simply loath this thing compared to the 6AT in my e92 and even more so compared to the 8AT in all of the N55 models I've tested. I had the 6MT in my 1st G35 and swore I would never buy another manual with my commute. So the fact that this new car has digital steering AND this outdated transmission makes it a truly undesirable car for me. Hopefully, this model will get enough complaints and they will adopt the 8AT ZF or maybe even better, throw a DCT in the 400HP Red versions.

Pricing announced for the 400 hp model...,52205 with destination. Not bad, considering a loaded up german coupe with a turbo 4 can eaasily hit 52k.

Why is it that almost every car maker feels the need to slather extraneous swoops, lines, vents, and curves onto cars these days. It's like all of the designers graduated from Fast&Furious U. What ever happened to economy in design. Go look at an E-Type and start over, please.
