BINGO!

This is the first of it's kind, and with a completely different process. You're not going to have the same sort of designs made with a subtractive process compared to additive process.

Most importantly though, it's the first of it's kind, nobody else has done so. Our plan was to push the boundaries of where this industry is going.

More than enough people know we're capable of making a good looking wheel. That wasn't the exercise here of course, it was to be the first.

I think people complaining about cleaning brake dust are completely missing the point of the design. It's just meant to show the complexity that can be achieved with 3D printing.

I'm sure 3D printed wheels are some time away, its my understanding that the machine manufactures are a few years away from making a machine large enough to do something like this in one piece or even two. When it does happen though it should open a world of possibilities. I'm sure many manufactures will jump on the technology when it is available but I will only trust a company like HRE to responsibly and reliably implement this technology. Happy to see them experiment and learn about this tech early on.

Its nice what the technology brings but can you guys add more info as far as:
-Brinell hardness
-difference in torsion rigidity and flexural from forged wheels ( in % )
And stiffness too please, just to see the difference
Forgot the weight difference too, for rotation mass.
Thanks!

Exactly why we wanted to get into this game and get in as early as possible. A wheel made with an additive process like this will result in different possibilities that were impossible with the subtractive method we use now with our forgings. This will make for some awesome futuristic designs that we're getting really excited about. The future is looking good
