Car Shipping Company Recommendations?

As a 17 year old(1987) kid we were having a long weekend vacation in Southwest Germany (BW)
So we visited Stuttgart(because I insisted lol) and in front of the Intercontinental hotel entrance was a grey 959 standing....BB plates.

Mouthwatering.

But now I actually prefer the F40

No personal experience with shipping yet but I happened to go to Intercity's website today and request a quote for shipping from the Carolinas to Florida. Pricey for sure, but they transport a lot of pricey vehicles, so I would trust them. This may seem totally strange but I noticed them first on "chasing classic cars" and those guys for sure know who to trust!

Horseless Carriage and Plycar are the two I see at the local high end dealership all the time loading or unloading Pagani, Bugatti, McLaren, Ferrari, etc. They wouldn't use them if they sucked.

I've used these guys a few times. Great quotes, so-so on the scheduling. Very reasonable and safe transportation.

I used Horseless Carriage years ago on a Ferrari and they were great... One question to ask is if they offload the vehicle at any point. If possible, you don't want offloading and storage since this will slow down the transport. Also, if possible ask for a top load, so nothing drips on your car. They are a covered transport company which is more expensive, but for cars like this, well worth it.

Montway is just a broker, they don't use their own trucks and operators. Plycar does.

PS: I also would go with either Horseless Carriage and Plycar. Go buy a copy of Hemmings Automotive News... any of the big shipping companies are stand up shippers.

I just used Intercity Lines to ship a car from PA to AZ. Took 2 weeks to pickup and another 2 weeks to deliver though, but they are known as one of the best from my research. They had a couple million dollar Ferrari's on the truck, all high end cars. It's who Jay Leno uses so I figured if it's good enough for him!

Price was reasonable too for an enclosed trailer...I'd say only a couple hundred more than the competition.

I second EVT. Any enclosed transporter that isn't grossly incompetent (that could be a big assumption, given the industry's reputation...) should be okay.

I heard horror stories about grime/fly/etc-encrusted vehicles showing up at the point of delivery due to having been shipped in an open-carrier, so I didn't even consider that route. I replaced my beloved del Sol 5MT with an Element AWD 5MT - the only '05 EX with <60K miles of which was located in SW PA. Given that EVT is based in Philly, had good Google/Yelp/other non-shipper-owned website reviews, and wasn't much different than DAS' quote, made them the most logical choice for me, then also taking the first-time shipping leap.

Their late-day phone call-answering, and general family-style friendliness was a nice bonus, so I would recommend them if you want to have some hope that the people shipping your car aren't tatted-up ex cons who have some friends who'd love to get their hands on a nice F80 cat or two...

JP Logestics.

Just had them deliver my Black Series back in December via enclosed. Was going to go with Reliable Carriers, but their phones were down the entire day that I was trying to book. Plus, I stumbled across some awful reviews later in that day.

JP had my car delivered picked up two days after booking and had it delivered in a day and half from Georgia to Texas. This was the weekend right before Christmas too. Amazing service

I'm in the car transport industry

OP, you can PM me and I can answer some questions that you have.

Most of the companies you guys mentioned are brokers, meaning they do not have their own trucks for transport.

If you get a company with good rating, there is nothing to worry about. Also someone mentioned about vehicles coming on and off the trailer and entering storage and thus you get delays, that never happens unless customer is not there for delivery, then we put it in storage. Trust me when I say this, most issues that we run into and run late is because of customers/dealers not the truck or driver.
