What is your target for M8 coupes? Nationally, is the convertible proving to be a much harder vehicle to sell?

They should have called it Phoenix Edition.

Dealers are all over the country are stuck with the launch edition, just like the "First Edition" M850i. The ivory/tartufo interior isn't for everyone. What is your current target discount for a conventional M8 coupe, Competition and base? Thanks.

I had my M8C coupe appraised yesterday - I was offered a "best price" of 112K (car has 2500 miles, 4 months old, original MSRP of 170K with 12K in extras).

How fast the value drops!

I feel guilty, but I am somewhat hoping the 8 series continues to struggle with sales for a bit longer. I am trying to save up to get a gently used m850i coupe next year, and the rapid depreciation is the only thing making that possible.

Currently looking to switch out of my '19 AMG E63S and into a '20 M8GC comp. I've made a few calls to some out of state dealers and they won't budge on anything more than a 5-6% discount off MSRP. Thoughts? I'd appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction if you know of a dealership that is willing to provide a more substantial discount. Thanks in advance!

You would never trade in a bmw lease. You so much better off trying to swap the lease.

All about the law of supply vs demand. According to cars.com there are only 9 M8 GCs on the ground vs 335 M8/M8C coupes and 394 convertibles. Hence, the greater deals on the latter.

Lol...just put in an order for the 2021. Same color as urs limeypride I was torn between the frozen dark silver and frozen marina bay blue but decided to go with the silver. Just too pretty to ignore! Can't wait. Production doesn't start until late July tho.

The irony is that the M850i coupes are finally in the rarity category as well. Once again from cars.com stats there are only 3 brand new 2019s still on the ground after the massive sell off of crazy deals on them. For the 2020s BMW limited them from the get go, i.e., the first build allocation for September 2019 was a whopping 5 for the US market. Wind the clock forward to now and there are only 24 on the ground along with 31 in the GC format.

Nope. Nothing more significant that minor additional options such as colored brake calipers (red and black). Tech specs are 100% same from what I can tell.

The dealer has 135 or so loaners. They now added a bunch of X3M's to the loaner fleet. SA told me they haven't seen the amount of nice loaners like this before...

I ended up with a 840i coupe that they just pulled into service that day. Still had some of the white wrap on the hood...

Funny thing is that car was louder on the inside than our M8c. Those speakers were working overtime

Snappy car actually but not worth the $94k as it was. With the S-Class coupe, the smallest model was the 550/560 in the US. This should be the same with the 8 series starting with the 850...
