2025 M8 Production Begins Early

The 25 M8 I had ordered shows production has already begun; this is contrary to what was released by BMW stating 25's begin in March. FYI I did not order these God-awful wheels; BMW's My Garage needs some improvements lol...

I would triple check this. When I ordered my 2021 m8 the picture was showing the rims as the 811 when I ordered the 813. The dealer “confirmed” that I would be recieving the 813 per the build but the car showed up as appeared in the MyBMW picture. Just sharing my experience, hope yours turns out different.

I have an 25 850i Vert order in house right now as well and my garage also shows a different wheel than the one ordered. My build sheet shows the correct wheel and my rep has assured me it will be the correct wheel. My car has an individual spec color (imola red) and that may be what’s spoofing the garage. I’m confident that even if the wrong wheel is applied, we’ll get it corrected. I’m glad to hear they’re starting early. My build week was supposed to start wk 10 (Mar 6-13).

Rumors?

So the rumors are false? No big changes for 2025 to the 8 series? No deletion of the convertible and coupe? No all electric GC?

The rumors I've seen pertain to a next generation 8 series. That would not be coming as a MY25 even if it does appear during calendar year 2025. Only model I've read is likely to see another generation is the Gran Coupe.

MY25 is said to be the last production year for the current 8 series. Rarely does BMW make any drastic changes for the final year.

MY25 production is scheduled to begin first week of March. Yours will complete production after March 1 and will have a March 2024 build date. Right on target. It's not an early start.

Hopefully you get the wheels you ordered. Sometimes the website is inaccurate but don't count on that. The build info should be on the site and show the three digit code for the wheels on the order sheet. Alternatively ask your dealer for a vehicle inquiry report which will show all options ordered, your production number and now since you're in production will also show your VIN.

Were any 2025 M8 changes leaked by your dealer?

Good thing your production started early. Hopefully this will translate to you getting the car sooner.
Seems odd for BMW to start the 2025 model year so early in 2024, especially if there are not going to be any changes. Also the car customizer still shows only 2024.
Anyone have any insight

0 changes from what I was told, but normally there’s a little something.

I was told by dealer they either had a late March allocation or 25 builds begin late March (can’t remember which), therefore I was surprised to see it going into production in Feb.

I just got an allocation and production number for a 2025 M8 Gran Coupe today. My BMW Garage is also displaying the wrong wheels for me. However, the correct wheels are listed under the standard features listing.

The car technically has not gone into production yet. When build status shifts to production begins (status 150) this means the build is locked from changes. Parts have been ordered and allocated for this build, etc... usually around 2 weeks later the body assembly begins.... BMW uses an end of production date as the date of build. So yours will be completed in March.

Does it show the correct wheels for you if you scroll down under YOUR SELECTED OPTIONS, and then expand the selection for STANDARD FEATURES?

Mine is correctly listed there.

Nope, here's what mine shows. I'm thinking the 811M's (the ones I ordered) are standard as they're listed as such. The DA is shown twice due to the second snip I took from My Garage.
