M8 Winter Tire Setup
Hi guys first time posting here. It’s getting cold here in Michigan and I’m planning to switch to winter setup soon. I bought a set of 647M but the problem is the only tires available I can find now are the Michelin Alpin 5s. Will 275/35/19 square setup work well? Thanks in advance!

If you purchased a staggered set of wheels and want to mount a square set of tires on them...you just need to find out if a 275 width tire will fit correctly/safely on each axle's wheel width. Can a 275mm tire fit on whatever the width of the 647M front wheel & rear wheel?
You should be able to google for a tire/wheel calculator to help determine if this is doable/feasible.

I'm your neighbour here in Ontario, so we have similar weather! :-) The 275s might be too wide on a snowy day! I'm going to use my 245s on all four wheels which I had on my 7-series which worked really well. They looked good on the 7 as I had 12mm spacers front/back which I also installed on the M850 and it's given the car an aggressive look without going outside the suggested tire size by BMW! You could go to 255s if you don't want to use 245s and still be in a safe zone!

I drove my M8 comp thru Michigan winter last year. I bought a set of M5 706M wheels on a Michelin 285/35-20 snow tire square setup and handles well in snow without issue
