M8c coupe tires

What are the factory standard tires for the M8c coupe? are they run-flat or non run-flat tires? Is there spare tire?

Michelin PS4s performance summers. No spare. Tire fix kit only.
No run flat option on the M8 nor should there be one

While I don't have one yet, I do have a '20 M5 Comp. Assuming the two are the same:
  • 285/35/20 Rear
  • 275/35/20 Front (I think, I replaced mine immediately)

Mine came with Pirellis. You'll either get those or Michelins... flip flops for me each time I get a new car.

They're not runflats (nor should they be a already mentioned since they're... errrr, crap). Inflation kit supplied, i.e. you call AAA and enjoy a warming massage in the front seat while you wait.

Yes, these are the stock tire sizes for M8C.

Out of curiosity, why have you replaced the front tires immediately on your M5C and have you changed the size on the front?

Yes. I run PS4Ss front and rear at 285/30/20 and 295/30/20 with 12mm front spacers and a suspension drop. I plan to do/try the same with the GC.

I gained an immediate traction bump and the car looks much better wearing the larger shoes.

There's nothing like PS4's, the best imho.

Really? Not in Germany at least.
Just checked the website as I was wondering where to place the tire. There is no space under the trunk floor.

Have you tried tracking the car with this configuration?

Yes, I tracked my 2019 M5 Comp with this exact setup--she handled superbly.

Cautionary note: I previously ran 10mm spacers on the rear on my '19 M5 Comp and never had any rubbing issues even at the track. I had to remove the rear spacers from my '20 M5 because they rubbed. That's same suspension, spacers, car.. and yet it rubbed. The 19 ran Pilot Supersports vs PS4Ss on the 20. Anyway, my point is there are slight and unexpected variations in the mix so your mileage may vary.

That would be nice but it would also be a pretty big change. I'll go with optimism.

2020 M8 Competition came with Pirellis...never had them but was always happy with the Michelins in the past. I immediately put winter tires on it so will have to wait a few months to really test them out!

BMW M says the pzeros were developed for the car and the comp comes with them. Yuk not happy I have been tempted to store them and buy the Michelins which by the way cost almost $100 more a tire...

Maybe we should just roast them off then I could justify telling my wife "you wouldn't want me driving on bald, unsafe tires, right?" Then go with the PS4's...

She went through a set on her MB GL550 every 10K miles! Drives way faster than me!

Agreed! For the 2020 M850i's the only way to get non-RF was with the 1N0 black rims and didn't want that so figured when I run out of tread on the current tires I'll pick up non-RFs and figure out my own "mobility kit" which is BMW's fancy terminology for a tire fix kit.

So much for my theory that the M8 was a Michelin-only setup for a change...

My understanding is that it's complete chance on which brand is supplied on a vehicle. I wonder if you could specify on a factory order? I seem to recall that you can't...
