Ed, CLASSIC composition and subject. Looks like it's out of an "art book."

When the light's good and the subject doesn't move too fast, the 7D2 is hard to beat.

For my Canon-buddies, where's the 7D3??? With an improved sensor and updated AF, it'd be a killer camera for wildlife.

With them starting to switch to mirrorless, I don't have high hopes for that to ever appear. On the plus side, I just upgraded my A9 to version 5

Funny, I upgraded to Firmware 5.0, three-days ago and now I can't find a subject that'll fly. Even the gulls are staying away. ;-)

My sense is that it's a huge upgrade, but I'll really need to test it with some fast flying subjects.

I'm going to try to get to the Travis AFB airshow this weekend and play with it. Not super challenging, but it is the slow season for interesting birds around here.

I took this while landing in Singapore a few weeks ago. Not a great photo, but I love watching aerodynamics in action!

Went to a fundraising event at a winery raising money for Bird Rescue of Sonoma County, and they had some of their ambassadors there to see while tasting. This pretty gal is 36 years old!

I need to go to a captive raptor event to get some of these close-up portraits. The feather and eye details are just amazing and fun to see.

Great shot, Ed.
