Looks great. Was this the same MSS setup as our car?
Yes it is.
Tried to figure out if it can go any lower, but not possible.

You guys with these lowered M8s must have perfect roads in your area. Have any of you ever hit a major road undulation? How painful is the scrape? In a previous life I used to put oversized wheels on classic American muscle cars and my soul would bruise every time they bottomed out. Must be the same on these.

That’s why no drop for me. Did it with my E60 M5 and things got ugly but continued to deal with it. I love the look just not the real world driving experience. Around my location anyway.

Zero scrapes--- if there was ever an issue it would be on very very bad angled driveways and have carbon fiber front splitters or lips but I rarely have done that. I am not a track junkie nor are the cars I own- they are not true race cars but more along the lines of GT cars blended into the sports car realm. If my car looks better lower and I dont feel any incremental loss in handling; Im good.

I like to lower my cars with a blend that still yields function with the added form. Im not into "bags" or drops that make the car crazy buck wild. Of my current cars, only one is on oem springs and thats the C63BS which technically has a coil system so I used that to lower it about 1/2 of an inch (OEM).

But to your point where I live- the roads are really well paved.

This is arguably the lowest car Ive ever owned but it was dropped on KW V3's with the EDC delete so it was full coilover set which is more enduring than that of the oem spring damper setup at that time and that lip was perfectly intact with just very very few minor underneath scrapes at time of sale:

That's the exact reason I don't lower mine.

I wouldn't recommend the H&R springs for the reasons you guys are asserting—they look great but they're not able to absorb the shitty bumps and potholes on Floridian roads.

Vic swears that the KW springs have barely affected ride comfort and are just as low so I'm considering a change.

Anyone want a set of H&R springs; barely used, mint condition?

Dean Id argue without specifics that the spring rates in the KW's are much higher than that of the OEM springs plus being progressive in nature; the ride is better than the OEM.

Ive done KW on my Ferraris (private label), Lambo, AMG GTS, several BMW's, many AMG's, etc

I think the KW HAS system is a great blend of price and gain in comfort. Now I will admit that H&R makes a great spring for Porsche and my R8 (I have techart on my GTS) but that will also be due to the great damper/chassis setups.

Edit- found the US site--- dang no M8 GC but then again SubZero has the front lip on his coupe so are the coupe and gc the same in the front? (this site has it as the M850i which is correct for G15)

Thats the exact same thing I got

But if SubZero is running the front on his M8 Cpe then I can use that on my GC (as Ben advised).

Can't guarantee the fitment since all they have is for M850.

Your call.

I might roll the dice as its a fitment "under" the oem lip and not a contour to the shape of the oem lip.
