Are the front brakes a 2 piston design with an oversized caliper?

The M850i features vented disc brakes, with four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear end.

Very nice and subtle... those are the exact same steps i did when i just got my car, instantly all around tint, a subtle drop to remove the unsightly wheel gaps, and add spacers as necessary...

You may want to add maybe no more than 1/2" (1.25cm) spacers all around, and it will be just right !

As a matter of fact, those are obligatory steps for any vehicle sold:
1) tint
2) drop
3) spacers

Great ride. I feel like the wheels need to be a tiny bit bigger to look good on that drop

Did the ride quality change much after mods?

This is the first time I've ever added springs but as I was leaving the install shop parking lot, I was certain it felt like the steering wheel just moved MUCH easier. This could be my imagination but I'm guessing not since that wasn't something I was expecting to change and yet, definitely noticed it right away.

Also, after putting the springs on it did get a little "bouncier" but definitely not more of a bumpy ride by any means. It defiintely corners WAY better!!

great car with no reservations but that back end is not to my tastes. I'm glad you like it, that's all that matters!

Well, after a full day of taking wheels off one at a time with a scissor lift and trolley jack one-two punch, I'm finally done and they look GREAT!

Thanks r33_RGSport

Full day but I was able to:
- Deep clean the wheels (even though there's only a few hundred miles on them...haha)

- Put a couple ceramic coats on them (bye bye brake dust)

- Spray a coat of Sonax on them (brake dust doesn't stand a chance of sticking)

I'll hopefully be able to post some pics tomorrow.

The weather finally cooperated long enough for me to get some pictures of these spacers. I apologize the angles of the before & after aren't identical but I was kind of in a hurry:
(You can click on each image for a high-res version embedded from my public dropbox folder)

Thanks again to r33_RGSport for all of his help on this!

For reference, this is 12mm in the front and 20mm in the rear.

Thanks, Ben! I think next up will be diffusor and exhaust (once there are viable options I guess).

Really nice and spot on! And yes with the glossy black tailpipe trims it will be even slicker matching that white body even more.

I am trying to help someone with an M850I X drive GC. Any rubbing with the 20mm spacers in the rear?

I have the H&R Springs 28671-6 on my M850 GC. I bought them at Tire Rack but they can be found cheaper elsewhere now.
