Since I had M4 F82 I desidered to have the seat logo permanently on while driving.
Even with M8 competition stage3, I wished same.
No coding solutions but finally got it.
The logo stays on all the time till 20minutes after car locking.
And trust me when I'm saying that it's very cool!!
On M8 you need to remove the front seat, you will see yellow base connector and you should disconnect the green wire and move to big Red/Yellow.
That's it!!!
Remember to disconnect the battery first.
I attached photo shows the yellow connector with wires before moving the green one.
Enjoy!!
A big thanks to RCW performance that remotely support me

Go to a car body shop,I described all you have to do.
Easy difficult level.
Just move the green wire and connect to big red/yellow.
Enjoy the logo effect!!

Having a light that's normally on for 20 seconds be on all the time?

Not at all. It's led light.
I have friends done this work one year ago and zero issues.

I wonder how they are changed if they were to malfunction. I didn't really look closely but do wonder. Not many lights are part of upholstery.

I see....kind of. Good to know they are modular. I thought they'd have to be really.
Thanks for showing that.
