in search of a daily driver

uncles looking to get a daily driver. 25k or under
new or old doesnt matter, but needs to be awd, auto transmission preffered

any suggestions?

Old WRXs are too harsh for daily driving (for most). Same with old Evos (and the old ralliart was a joke).

Best bet is the Audi imo.

Subaru Legacy 2.5GT.

Great AWD system, plenty of space, comfortable daily-driver, bullet-proof engine. Do your regular maintenance and it'll go forever.

It's around $29k MSRP - so either beat them up on price (one of the Scooby dealers in Detroit will sell for $550 over invoice all day), or find a 1 year old one.

Why would you get a B6 A4 when you could easily get a B7 for that price range?

Yeah, b6's go for about 12k nowadays, unless it has UltraSportPkg which would be about 15-16k.
Do the gas prices matter? If not, buy a b6 s4.

Mini Cooper/Mini Cooper S

-great small car for running errands, getting groceries, etc.
-holds value very well
-good mileage
-can look great (i've seen it at opposite ends of the spectrum; color really matters)
-safe
-BMW without the price of one
