Appreciate the kind words
To me Bimmerpost is the go-to place for BMW just like MBworld is the place for anything MB.
Incredible car knowledge on these boards; I learn new stuff all the time.

Is there any benefit to being an admin?

That car has the same engine and AWD setup of the E63s. C&D numbers typically only show the best run with roll out of course.

The older 2015-2017 model looks the same but has the older engine/drivetrain setup which is quite a bit slower.

That said, speed and acceleration is not the primary objective with these cars...
It could have very well been a 2017 and hence the greater ease in all 3 scenarios of yesterday's fun. I'm a S-Coupe fan from the pure aesthetics but not a connoisseur so I didn't know that it's the same body since 2015.

Full leather I get. Why the night vision—I had it once and never used it?

How is BMW's NV, I had in previous MB's and it was great with fighter jet lock on tech, where in my Audi it was just so-so and would not buy their version again.

Yep, and that is why Noushy has Night Vision in his glorious M8C coupe. For here in Metro Phoenix I loaded up all the bells and whistles minus it as there is no justification for the price. Which brings me to one thing I missed, i.e., if a do-over I probably would have chosen the exterior carbon fiber package. However, apparently it still doesn't erase the greyish stupidity of the diffuser so I still don't feel a regret for not doing so.

Yikes! What kind of damage did that do?

believe it or not, my family has hit a couple bears and several deer over the years.
This one was a big black bear and ripped the side of the Lincoln. From the passenger front fender to the rear passenger quarter panels.

thankfully it's a 2013 Lincoln and not a MB, BMW, Porsche/VW, or high priced car.

Wow! i assume the bear is RIP...
We have bears (amongst other giant critters around here too) but they mostly stay in the preserve around parts of the golf course.

I think the bear lived but I don't know. My wife also hit our garage a while back. We found out that a 2013 Infiniti g37x side mirror only costs $50 whereas her 2013 Lincoln mirrors costs us over $799 each.

All said, insurance covered it for less than 5k. I think. that's her department, I just work here.

On an m850i, I'd imagine my carbon fiber mirrors cost at least 2k.each with power motors.

Running into a large black bear from the laws of physics standpoint is similar to a head on collision with a Smart Car. Regardless of the damage to the Lincoln I hope everyone in the car walked away uninjured. I lost a cousin in Wyoming due to an accident with a deer. On impact the deer literally ended up flying over the hood and through the windshield.

brutal. sorry for your loss.

Luckily my wife basically just clipped the bear with the side of her large SUV. any head on or smaller car, and it surely would have been different.
