Price aside, I think the M8 Gran Coupe is going to be the one to get if you're in the market for an 8er. Drove the M850i Gran Coupe and I think it's the best BMW available right now - not that it does one thing specifically, it's the total package.

Look, everyone is going to look at pictures and criticize this and that and very few are actually going to test drive one but you cannot fully appreciate the package without having seat time and actually driving it. If I had the money to buy one BMW right now, the Gran Coupe would be it with zero hesitation.

I don't like red on red. This M8 with beige, grey or black seats would be awesome.

Everyone is thinking about depreciation my friend, the only ones that don't are the ones that sitting in the back of a RR, I'm sure the person that buys the M8C does think about depreciation for sure!

Nice car but for that money I would expect a metallic color.
Non metallic red and blue are the ones that fade the most under the sun and the hardest to ever match in case you need to repaint a panel. (Please read, you will never match it).
Metallic color is easier to match, has more shine and lasts longer, plus the clearcoat is applied on top (sometimes on two layers) not mixed with the color like the non-metallic ones, hence, a scratch on a metallic can be addressed better and even fixed properly if not deep; not the same story with the non-metallic paint.

The M8 Competition currently holds BMW's best design, but for this price tag I rather get a fully loaded GT3.
