Starting price at 133K for an reincarnated M6 makes me heavily consider a 992 Carrera S over this.

^^ A 992 C4S costs between $130,000 to $140,000 nicely equipped.

And it's not really Apples to Oranges, it's more like Granny Smith Apples vs Fuji Apples.

Easily, I just specced one for fun and hit 140 with no problem.

-Metallic Paint
-Full Leather
-18 Way
-Premium Package
-Sport Package

I could probably add a few more things like Rear Axel Steer, Burmeister Audio, and Park Assist. Could probably add more stuff too, I love the chalk paint.

All in all a fully loaded m8 is not cheap but compared to the competition some may consider it a bargain.

It's not the MSRP that is so dumb, but the depreciation from that MSRP that BMW's have. Even an optimistic 61% residual for an M8 Coupe at $133k, is horrible when considering a Porsche costs the same and will have better residuals. My crystal ball tells me there will be a lot of M8 leases in the future. Lol!

Agree completely. BMW is punching above its weight class, I think. Every brand has a limit and I don't know if I could justify paying $133,000 for a BMW. A Panamera 4S is another good option if you want the space and usability.

60% or so percent of BMW's are leased for a reason. I think the informed shopper would get a P-Car for the price. Imagine how expensive the Gran Coupe is going to be if the coupe starts at $133,000.
