Help Deciding Next New Car!?

I've officially lost my Mustang in a total. The situation (well at least not at this time) works in my favor, as I was going to trade the Mustang in next year around summer time.

Regardless, I'm now stressing out because I cannot find something that ticks all the bells. I'm working under a budget of about 650/month. I UNDERSTAND many of you guys will say, HEY, BUY IT OUT RIGHT...HEY, DON'T GO WITH A MONTHLY PAYMENT. Yes, I understand A, cars are bad investments. B, I have ZERO intention of going in saying, meet this car payment. C, I'm looking for car guidance, not an accountant.

Here are some of the things I've considered/considering...

M3/M4 (Leasing, but I don't think I could get one in the 6s)
Type R (Can't find one that isn't marked up or not sold)
Focus RS (Like it, don't love it)
Jag Type F (Great lease deals out there, but dealers by me act like they do not exist)
Subaru WRX (Wife hates the way they look, can't say I disagree).
VW Golf R (They look bland, and everyone I've asked agrees)
BMW 4 series (Lease might be manageable, but doesn't scream 'exciting')
BMW M240 (Liked the drive, didn't love it)
Fully loaded Mustang GT (mine wasn't fully loaded, but I was going to trade it in, doesn't make sense to go back to it)
CPO Porsche Cayman near me(Just out of range, list price is 46k)

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Can anyone be of help. It's stressing me out.

No camaro ss/1le?

Otherwise I’d pick an m3/4 out of that list.

Jaguar dealers, as well as all those "fancy and expensive" cars' dealers tend to think they can "sort out" by look a possible customer - they look at clothes, accessories, etc (things that might scream MONEY). I'm telling you that, because my bf was once keen to buy a Mercedes Roadster. We went, looked around for 30+ minutes while waiting for someone to show up and answer our questions. There was just one girl (a pretty one) which was circling around and when you try to catch her attention - she was like "Meh...I'm busy". On our way out a suited gentleman entered and you could not image my surprise at the girl's reaction - she practically jumped and rushed to the door. 5 minutes later 3 other people were around the man.
So apparently, they judge by the way you look.
As for the Subaru, i liked it in Frankfurt. Looks quite sporty, not for a regular use.

Can a M3/4 lease fit into 650 a month!?

I’ve always considered the Camaro SS. Wife hates them. Her family is pro Ford, which made me a hero when I bought my Mustang.

Not going to lie, this process has been unbelievably frustrating.

The camaro SS would surprise you with the power versus the mustang.
The torque is VERY pronounced.
Me and a friend rented one and took it to TX2K17 this year. We had to return it and get a Mustang GT for the return trip. Something about bad rear tires...
Anyway The camaro was more fun to drive, but the mustang was more comfortable for long trips.

I've got a friend with a focus RS. He loves the car, but it's been in the dealership three times for a leaky seal out of the transfer case. They ended up replacing the entire transfer case. So far that fixed the problem.
The car has a lot of character. Very fun to drive.

The interior in any BMW is going to be better than the Mustang or Camaro if that matters to you.
I came from a GTR and the interior in my M3 is light years ahead.

Just some information. Hope it helps you make your decision.

I'd stretch for the Caymen IMHO, resale would be very strong.

Otherwise a tuned 335.

F Type for sure if you can swing it. Next choice would be RS3 or TT RS, personally.

He's looking at a lot of RWD cars, which leads me to believe AWD is not a priority. I'd take an M2 over the RS3 or TTS and enjoy having the extra what $10K in my bank account. If AWD is a priority OR need 4 doors for short people in your household that's a different story.

Hell at that point I'd look at a C43 as well.

Not a very good dealer network and the reliability has been a HUGE issue. I love the look of the Quadrofoglio, but decided against it because of all the problems.

Test drove a 17 Camaro 2SS. Black. Fully loaded. Thought I was going to die. It felt immense. Caught me off guard. Interior was much nicer than expected. An absolute ton of options. Priced at 46k. Apparently they lease well.

Despite me losing my Mustang in the rain, I’m confident in weather situations. I went through multiple winters with winter tires. I have winter tires set for my next car, so that shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Thankfully my years of Dad’s insanity in weather has helped me remain calm in those situations.

M2 has always been on my list, they just don’t lease well. I love the RS2 and TTS but my wife said if I’m going German, to go BMW.

This happened to me about 15 years ago at a BMW Dealership. I went in on a weekday wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. No one came up to me even asking if I needed help. Needless to say, I ended up going to another BMW Dealership and bout a 330ci

Happened to me as well a while back, went to BMW of Barrington (Chicago suburb). Asked to test drive 335i, 335d, and E46 M3 which they had used. Barely let me go around short distance in 335i and 335d (not 100k mile+ M3) and they actually told me to "narrow down my choices" for test drives as these cars are not the same and told me to come in at less busy time. First time in my life was told crap like that, and needless to say would never go there again and bought my car at a regular used car dealership.

On the other hand, went to Alfa / Maserati dealership recently as my friend was looking to lease and experience was great.

Eh, I don’t think so.

I have family like that. At the end of the day, you’re the one spending money, not them. If they legitimately hate on you just because you bought a car from a different brand, well, if just start ignoring them I guess. Can’t really tell them to fuck off cause of your wife haha.

I just think the camaro fits all the criteria that you’re looking for. Other people mentioned an M2. That’s another good option.
