Modding

Figure that their won’t be a lot of that going on in this forum but hey that’s what I do

After some research it appears the m8 shares a lot of parts with the f90 m5.

Carbon mirrors
Intakes
Wheels. Same specs

I am planning on lowering and putting spacers on soon. Most m5 owners are using 12/11m. Going to start with a 11/11 and see how it looks

No actual springs for the m8 out yet but the M850i HR are out. Most m5 owners have been using the m550 HR which had a more even drop compared to M5 specs Springs

Anybody else out there planning to mod

Are you sure the exhaust fits. I would imagine the piping would be similar but the tip outlet has to be a little different

Do you need to modify the Downpipe’s at all. About to purchase a used set of lowers. Guess it’s a risk but rather not just throw money away

Can you please post when install exhaust?

I also after break in want to install downpipes and akrapovich, but think about wait for official release, or make it fit.

Because in Europe version of M8 Comp there is no exhaust sound at all! So I need also not only downpipes and exhaust, but modify ECU, so it will be stage 2 in near future

I am only going to run secondary Downpipe’s. Wife can’t stand the smell of full catless. Just want a little more sound. The m8 exhaust is actually much more tame than the m5

When you ur wheels going on. Like to see the fitment and how your m5 offsets fit. Been calling around and there is pretty much no info on the 8 series chassis. Think there is like 3 cars that actually have aftermarket wheels in the world

Did you figure all this stuff out yourself or have a shop compare your old parts
