That happened with one of the new Ferrari's years ago at a dealer in Greenwich Ct.

Then they change the policy to lease only.

Not at all impressed. Silly price for what is just more of the same. I mean the steering wheel, dash display, and electronic gauge pod is identical to that on a pedestrian three series.

It's the same engine, same transmission, the same wheels, brakes, tranny... just wrapped up into a slightly different (bloated) new package.

What dumb dumb is going to pay 200k for this?

This is nothing more than a marketing ploy... one of eight.... COME ON.

Agreed and hence why I'll stick with my M850i from the car perspective of my vices as I'll take a huge loss on it no questions asked but am enjoying every drive. On the flip side my primary vice is horology (aka watches) and if done right no depreciation and in many cases increase in value.

Case-in-point is my Ulysse Nardin Genghis Khan minute repeater which from point of purchase has significantly increased in value and currently valued at 3 of these first editions with cash left over to spend elsewhere. That said the challenge is on the insurance front. Took a simple phone call with my Allstate agent to get the $125K M850i added to my policy. Every watch however is a struggle given the potential lack of depreciation and full buyout if lost or stolen.

I am with Noushy on the color scheme; it somewhat worked for the prototype but here it feels dated...

The one thing I wish BMW would do for any numbered editions is to actually number the cars like limited art.
No. 23/400, 24/400, etc. That would actually make it a bit more special...
Agreed as checked the website as well and it looks like a non-comp model. In regards to the numbering they should indeed do that as with my primary horology vice (aka watches) everything I have in a "special edition" is uniquely numbered, e.g. #3 of 60.

And why call people names? Just because they have money and they can choose to buy what they like, and you have to call them names? People like you need to grow up. If a person can afford and he likes it, let him buy it. If I had that money to throw I would consider buying one as well.

I actually think that the central console of the 3 series looks better than this cluster@@@@.

But seriously, is it so hard for carmakers to build a few different steering wheels for the different cars in their range? I cant believe that the steering wheel, our connector to the car, is the same in the 2 series minivan and this halo car. WTF.

His voice is definitely an acquired taste but he is always pleasant and not as arrogant outright as some of the other "car-tubers".

He is aging as fast as his cars go it appears however. Either that or time is moving quicker for me, lol...

A+ pearl clutching. Sorry but being rich isn't a solid defense against criticism for bad taste and frivolity.

I can't imagine how much these will cost and how much the same Porsche panamera would be cheaper.

How would this be a special enough to be a collectable car at this price point? For the same money I could probably buy a used exotic. In about 3 years this will be a CPO ride worth 50% and at the 5 year mark would be worth about 25% of msrp. Fancy toy... yes. Special... not so much. I’ll see what my $50k-$100k can buy me on the used market.

It most likely would not be anytime soon, but maybe 20-30 years from now (if they even still sell gasoline lol).
