I really have to reserve judgement until I see it in person. As of this moment, m3/m4 is too bland and boring the rc-f is downright funky.

I dont care what anyone says; I like it. Side profile is epic and overall it just seems totally different from anything we've ever seen. Even the front grille doesn't look so bad because it isn't flat like Audi. I like the way the bottom lip curves in and the small intakes are a nice feature.

While I'm less than blown away by some other angles, it really looks fantastic in straight profile.

$30k tops. The interior looks cheap & bland as hell. I love the exterior, though.

Isn't this an M4 competitor? I'm thinking this will be mid to high 60's.

That's just my point. The rumor mill pointed to a very high price point which would doom the car from a sales standpoint. I think in the 60s it's somewhat competitive but we have yet to see how it performs. FWIW, we also have yet to see anything from BMW in terms of performance figures as well. The comparos should be very interesting in the coming months.

No way this car is anywhere close to 100k. I think it looks great, (minus that cheap ass center stack) and keeping a V8 is awesome. All rumors point towards it weighing quite a bit (3900 lbs). If it came in at 3600 lbs and was AWD with a dual clutch, then maybe it would cost that much. But from what I've seen/heard it's not drastically different from the IS-F in that regard. It's definitely something I'm considering as long as it drives similar to at least the outgoing ISF. (And I can find someway to accept that horrible plastic center stack). Now if lexus would only release some more info!

I'll just live vicariously through all of the impending comparison videos. I'm praying that EVO and /Drive get their mitts on all four. If we can get a vid with Jethro and and Harris reviewing them then I would be so happy.

Holy shit those gauges are amazing. Lexus just said "king me" to the competition on dash tech.

As an aside: How did they accomplish such a demo? It sounded like the car was outside passing other vehicles at 0:27 then at 1:25 the car just shuts off at 140mph. What kind of wizardry is this?!?

So you think this car is worth less than a loaded Honda Odyssey minivan (MSRP just hitting $40k). Interesting.

Honda civics go for $20k.

I think I read something where this car has 450hp and 380lb but the curb weight was 3,900 This is NO M4 competitor!

The IS350 is 3,593 lb (1,630 kg). I can't imagine the V8, cf bits, 2 less doors is going to add 300+ pounds.

Haha that is odd to see. I think its just a standalone gauge preview. The sound it was making sounded really low quality coming from some plain speakers at the show. Like it wasnt attached to any car, just a small kiosk showcasing the cluster.

V8, big heavy coupe doors, torque vectoring LSD, perhaps beefed up tranny, bigger brakes, bigger wheels, extra body moldings, retracting rear spoiler. Unfortunately I don't think adding 300 lbs over an IS350 is much of a stretch. We'll see I guess. Hopefully this won't be the RC AMG.
