What's your favorite lens?

So what is your favorite lens that you own or have used?

My favorite has to be my sigma 10-22mm F4-5.6.

I use my Canon f4L 24-105 IS the most, but my favorite is my f4L 70-200 IS, which doubles as a great macro lens with a 25mm extension tube. DxO's Optics Pro software corrections gives both of these lenses the sharpness of a bag of prime lenses. (DxO is amazing, adjusting for all focal lengths and all apertures).

It's gotta be the 70-200mm F/4 IS. This thing is incredibly good for its size and weight.

After going through at least 20 lenses over the past 6 years I've cut it down to just 6 - all primes, of which I use 4 95% of the time:

24/1.4II for landscape
65/MPE for macro
300/4IS for general wildlife
500/4IS for birds and distant wildlife.

I go through phases where any one of these four is my favorite. They all travel everywhere with me.

I also have a 50/1.4 for general interior use and portraiture, though it's a little on the short side for portraits with the 5D2 and doesn't get a whole lot of use. Finally there's a 100/2.8 that hasn't gotten much use in the year since I got the MPE, but it's still handy as a "gap filler" between the 50 and 300. But for as little as I use it now I should probably trade it for a 70-300IS or 70-200/4IS.

My favorite is the Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM Zoom although it is heavy and can be a pain to carry around. I like the versatility, though.

My most used lens is an 18-200mm Sigma. It is not as sharp as some of my Canon lenses, but it is great for a day trip around a city.

Since I responded to this thread last May I've purchased an EF 400mm f5.6L and it's become my favorite. I've taken close to 10,000 images with this lens. Here's a favorite image, but typical:

Mallard hen in flight

Hopefully within the next year I can put together the jack to purchase an EF 500mm f4L IS.

On Canon, the 85/1.2 is phenomenal, along with the Zeiss 1.4/50.

On Leica, 35 'Lux, 50 'Lux.

On Nikon, Zeiss 2/100 and my 300/2.8 VR.

Out of my lenses, it's the 50mm/1.2 and 70-200/2.8 IS. I use the 50mm most though.
