M8 Winter Tyre Size Question
Hey guys…..
I am getting Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 for my M8. I have decided to keep the original rims and just get the tyres. I have been told by discount tyre that 275/35/20 should be good for both front and back. Currently fronts are 275/35 and rears are 285/35. Any suggestions ? Thanks 🙏 |

You want as narrow possible and with as much sidewall as possible if you are concerned about handling on snowy roads. The sidewall should hopefully protect the rims a little bit against minor pot holes. All bets are off for gaping wheel swallowing pot holes.

Thank you NVRfollo….
Unfortunately I live in MI atleast for another 5 months and the roads are awesome 😎 but they are plowed pretty quickly atleast the major streets. I will keep it in mind and on the snowy days I plan to drive my wife’s Yukon. So I am hoping I should be ok. |

As per the manual for M+S tires:
265/35/20 front with 275/35/20 rear or 265/35/20 all around (265 is the minimum for the 10.5" stock rear wheel) |
