Update on this....

Apparently the box had to adapt a bit and now seems to be making full power through the RPM band and ran it to nearly 7k in 5th hear at 145mph and no issues of drive train malfunction lights.

It's doubtful the Racechip is adapting since it's effectively blind. The ECU, though, yes—that's able to adapt to the "interference" from the Racechip.

Now what could have happened was what happened with mine recently (I have had great success with RC) but I did an OTA update after Ben programmed it when I got my new M3 and this made map 7 feel weak and sluggish (M3 X drive). So the assumption was that I got a corporate map and it was not working well with the tq limits. Ben did a reset OTA and pushed my original map back on and voila, all the juice was back!!

Of course I cant 100% say this was the issue but it all started after the RC OTA update. This was all with the G80 as the F93 has never had issues.

Interesting. I assume the OTA update is driven by the Racechip app and requires user consent?

Once you upload the app you are under their restrictions I would assume. It did tell me that I need a map upgrade so I did it but it was not mandatory so I gave my consent. After that I was like whats up with the car so I did some draggy tests and ran zero to 60 in 3.58 seconds which is slow for the car. I called Ben and he said he would repush the map and that I needed to uninstall reinstall the app. I did it and all my wheelspin was back LOL.

I wonder how this will play when UPS/FedEx lost / damage the package.
In the past few months, they have been breaking records in losing or damaging their shipment.

DME is close to having to not having to send them out. Spoke with them a week or so ago and they're expecting about another 3-4wks.

That's a good news.
Would be best if they can do it remotely or via OBD2 port.
Got a few customers that backed out after knowing that have to pull out the ECU and ship.
