Winds

I'm not sure who was asking about wind. But I took the m850i out today in high winds (30+ mph winds with 50 mph gusts) driving at speeds from 20-80+ mph).

And I can report back; solid as a rock. No sway or rocking. All the SUVs and MB GLS 550s were swinging back and forth. But my m850i was planted and stayed on the ground with the right side up.

Solid.

I think there was an older thread on this inquiry as the OP felt like his M850i was moving to much under high winds. I to have never experienced that with some summer month monsoons here in which the wind is at 30+ MPH. Rather the M850i is rock solid.

+1, I was out in our X7 around 9PM on Saturday night for about 20 min, it wasn't horrible, but a couple of white knuckle scenarios on those gusts. I lowered that sail and took out the 8 on a 90 minute drive after dropping off the kids.

Of course, the faster I went, the less of an affect the wind had on me as well. I could occasionally feel a bit of a force from a gust when going 80 or so... so I increased my spec a "bit" beyond that... for safety... and it was like there was nothing at all.
