I've done this once before and have perused the older replies... trying to get some new ideas before pulling the trigger.

That said, I'm thinking about vanity plates again. Current contenders are:
1. MR M82U (self explanatory I hope)
2. DA BOM8 (the bomb)
3. I8 A M4 (fat joke)
4. LIMEYM8

... other ideas appreciated?

1. M82BLU or M8BLU2 (your 2nd M8 this time in blue..stone)
2. CUSTM8 (not just any ordinary M8)
3. UNIQM8 (in fact a truly unique M8)
4. BIGUSM8 (Bigus....M8....you need to be into Monty Python)
5. SLIPRY8 (not just good looking)
6. ULTIM8 (it is the best M8C GC in the forum...)
7. LEGITM8 (the car is the real deal)

Thx!

I think LEGITM8 might be a winner.

Not on the 20s—they got them in 2 days. Apparently, the 21s are in short supply, though.

Unbelievably enough, I'd swear these new tires with reduced sidewall are handling the shitty parts of the road better than the Pirellis. Thus far, that's an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

I hate Pirellis so much. When I picked up my M8, I told my CA to d only do the deal if he swapped with another M8 they had with the same wheels, but with Michelins.

LOL My Pirelli experience has been mixed. Z4 also no factory run flats but I think I want to try a set.

They simply can't put the power down. However, it's been years since I've tried a set. Let us know if you do.

I drive like a girl & think compromising some performance/comfort to avoid need for a flatbed at some bad place or time might be worthwhile for me. What else should I be taking into account?

The only other thing that struck me was they don't tolerate cold weather so well and tend to freeze or lose traction more quickly.

Indeed. Not any more! In Seattle, though, ugh.

This pic I think sold me on keeping my stock rims. Was adamant about getting 21" as soon as I took delivery but really liking the look of the 728 bi-color. Thinking just lowering it and calling it a day.
