I was in the process of buying a 2024 M8 coupe today when I was just informed the '25's start production end of March.

If I order one now and it gets picked up for late March production, when can I realistically expect it? FYI there aren't any allocations as of the moment but should be soon.

Also, what is "priority one" (I forgot)?

Im not sure about production times but the prices appear to have been bumped yet again.

My 23 Coupe was the earlier build so my base msrp was 130k and then the next 23 bump was to 134 and now the 25 is 138k? What is the 24 base msrp on the M8 comp cpe?

Base MSRP for 25 is the same as 24.

My dealer on other coast does have an allocation and I'm grabbing it. Was offered a very good deal on a new 24 but since I own vs lease, I'd rather get a 25.

The one dealer was very transparent about the 25's being right around the corner but other was not (they've all known since early Jan according to the DOG release). My dealer here has been very good otherwise - good people , and we'll continue to use them for service (just wish they had an allocation).

On another note, what do you guys think of the black/orange interior with alcantara dash? Anyone here have it, as I've never seen it in person and may order it.

I’d say go for it. I have the sakhir orange and black combo but with full leather dash which I prefer. I can dig up a pic if you’re interested but I think there’s less sakhir in the new version, not sure.

The primary color is black and it’s placed strategically eg the door pulls. I luv a leather dash and don’t like Alcantara seating surfaces or on the wheel but bmw did it intelligently. I’ve seen the full leather version and it rocks as well.
I thought someone here got the Alcantara version just can’t remember who?

It’s as if I ordered it. Like how is a frozen black m8 with exactly what I would have spec’d out just sitting there? Only thing missing was piano black but it’s minor. I snatched it quick. Same dealer as my other m8. They did a great job, car showed up in my driveway pre-tinted like I like a few days later.

I am awaiting to find out if anything was changed for MY '25 and have a call into my dealer...anyone know if there was/what they are? My guess is minimal if any (ext/int colors appear to be the same thus far), but it's always nice to see something.

Yes and yes. Personally, I like the use, look and feel of Alcantara in this interior. I think it makes the car more special, so I would do it again. That said, I'd be equally happy with full leather if the car had every other option I wanted. 😉 I get it, it's a tough choice and comes down to your preference.

Me personally I'd go with full leather (not extended) and of course that includes the dash. However, if you decided de on the Alcantara then I'd highly recommend Gtechniq's Smart Fabric.

The product literature states 12 months of protection but that is beyond conservative. Had my detailer put it on all of the M850i's Alcantara (headliner, back panel behind the seats, etc.) and everything is literally just like I drove it off the lot. Granted for the dash you'd probably would want to get it done annually as more of a "high touch surface" but it would absolutely protect it no questions asked.

I would imagine the dust getting embedded in the Alcantara dash would be more difficult to remove vs a quick wipe of leather.

So, snagged a March production for a '25 coupe. My SA has been great, as currently there were only 3 allocations for it in the Southern/Eastern regions (no doubt limiting these to clear the 24's) and I'm glad I got it. Could have obtained some healthy discounts and rebates on a '24, but I couldn't find what I wanted as they either didn't have: the wheels I wanted, color combo, too many tester miles, dealer induced scratches that require some paint correction, options I don't want/need, or too far out of state etc. etc.

I just noticed they missed the wood trim I wanted (4KW Ash Grain Grey-Metallic), I emailed them and hopefully the order can be amended as I just placed it today.
