Exclamation Aftermarket DRL issue for my M850i

Hi guys,

I bought some DRL from Bayoptics for me 2019 M850i, but started having issues with them and not sure why. One of the passenger side lights don’t work, but the other are working fine. Initially I thought it could have been the module I bought, but I had them replace it and it worked for two days then stopped. The other three are still working. I tried plugging back in the stock module and that works fine.

Additionally, now I’m getting a turn signal error on both the driver and passenger side of the car. The rear and side mirror signals work but not the front. Do I have to code the modules to my car? I’m just not sure what could be the issue. If anyone has an idea I’d really appreciate it.

Here’s some pictures for reference:

Contact them and they will send you replacements since they are under warranty. The turn signal, DRL, and amber parking lights all share the same board. Who ever the source manufacturer is, they didn’t do a good job in quality control. I am going on my 3rd set after 2 failures. Hopefully 3 times a charm.

Tenac Hey mate, who's boards did you buy and who installed them?

I bought them and had them installed by r33_RGSport . He helped me trouble shoot and replaced the parts quickly. Ultimately I believe we traced it back to bad set of boards from the production line. Sadly after all the cost for replacement I dare not try again...
