Digital Key Setup

Hi all. I finally took delivery of my 840i xDrive Convertible in Tanzanite Blue today
I'm trying to activate the Digital Key card that was in the owner's manual. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos and seem to be missing something.
Car > Settings > Door/Access, then above the Comfort Access option, it should have BMW Digital Key... which I don't have.
Is there a trick to this? What am I missing?

I believe you're in the wrong menu.

I watched both of those videos last night. That's definitely the menu I'm going into, but it doesn't have the option for Digital Key. The menu just starts with Comfort Access options. I've got a call into my dealers' Genius to see if they have any ideas.

On the 8 Series with iDrive 7 both of those videos are wrong. Attached (hopefully it works as I'm on the mobile) are pics of the menu system to activate the NFC card. Which was a 5 minute exercise on my M850i and actually used the card to access the car to make sure it still worked in order to take the pics.

Update: the pic attachment initially failed but adding one at a time appears to be a success.

My dealer's 'Genius' was able to figure it out. It was a glitch in the iDrive system. Doing a hard reset (pushing and holding the volume knob) of the system got the Digital Key option to pop up in the menu and to automatically recognize the key when in the tray. Simple fix :-)

Speaking of digital keys, has anyone activated their smartphone to use as a Digital Key? It seems pretty clear with iPhone, but for Android it says it's compatible with Samsung. Shouldn't it work with all Android phones with NFC?

Has anyone activated it with a Huawei?
