Buying the Nikon D300s, but...

I came across this site where they are selling the D300s for $1300 and everywhere else is selling it for $1800. A little shady? Have you guys heard of this online store before?

I am torn between the D90 and the D300s. I dont think the 300 is double the camera but it is double the price. Any thoughts?

^^^That is the way I am leaning. I cant find any 'must-have' features that would move me towards the 300s at this point.

I've changed my mind too. Looking for a D90 now. D300s is just too expensive. I wish I didn't sell my D200.

I am thinking of the D90 with 18-200 second edition Nikon lens.

^^ That is an awesome lens. If I could have 3 lenses for my D90 it would be a 10-24, 35 and the 18-200.

I shoot with 2 D90s all the time (mine and one at eas) and I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head that I don't like about it. I'd highly recommend it.

Ken Rockwell has a good review on it:

Again the 300 is old tech. I would only consider the 300s.

Pretty strong comment for a camera that hasn't even been released yet, or with significant actual reviews. This just smacks of Canon Fanboi-ism.

Maybe when Canon fixes what I consider to be an ergonomic flaw (the rear sub dial), I'd give them more consideration for my personal use. But the Nikon's controls layout is better in my opinion.

Most of your DX lenses have to go If you have stayed with primes before e.g. 85mm f1.4 or 50mm f1.5 or 105mm then you can keep those. If you get cheap lenses, then there is no point anyways

The difference in prices is not a lot these days. Think carefully dude.

Well boys..I have settled on the D90 with 18-200. Just going to wait and see if my local shops will put it on sale over the next few weeks before I take the plunge.

On another note..have any of you used eye-fi memory cards? Any opinions on memory speed as well as wifi performance?
