The X3 looks a little on the spartan side for my tastes. Reminds me of the Honda CRV (I like the CRV btw), but I expect more from BMW.

The X3(pre 2006) was good in my book, until this year when the did monochromatic here and there, and the black body cladding around the wheels only. Not my style.

I used to HATE the 6 series, but now I love it. I used to hate it for the back side, it still looks a little ugly to me, but I've grown to love it. The whole car is just mean looking, I love it.

I don't like the Z series. Not my thing. X3 is a disgrace, X5 is okay, but it doesn't compare to other SUV's, in my opinion.

The 7 is just insanely nice and the 5 is beautiful. The only bad thing about the 3's are the tail lights. That's all.

E90. Im serious. I was going to buy E46 M3(used ones are about same price as new E90).
I loved the side/front, but hated the rear of E90.

I decided to go for "new-look" and bought the E90. I am still "adjusting" to E90's rear.
I still think E46's rear is the sexiest ever made.

BMW does the evolution-revolution cycle when it comes to models that's why some models appear to have skipped a generation. The thing is, we often look at BMWs with more reverence and as such we grow rather fond of a current generation so that when a new model comes (particularly in the Bangle-era) it takes a while to acclimatize. When the e36 (revolution phase)came out, it took me some while as I was really into the e30...but that wasn't the complete case with the e46 replacing the e36 i.e. evolution phase (I thought the front overhang looked awkwardly short when it first came out)....so now here we are with the e90.......

It almost seems that every two generation or so comes some sort of revolution. I think that the new generation cars to come will be more toned down versions of what we see now w/ an obviously new twist. Which will be welcomed by many core BMW nuts that felt alienated by the latest generation BM's.

Well...the contemporary i.e. bangle era models are definitely revolutionary but I concur the next generations would be evolutions....I believe the e65/66 would be the first to evolve...early spy pics/impressions seem to point to this direction.

I haven't seen any pics of the next generation 7, mules should be popping up very very shortly(only 3 yrs away you know?). There is a computer generated image(two to be precise) by the one man wonder(always right) impressionist, Huckfeldt. I do know that the next generation Bimmer's starting w/ the new 7 will carry the letter "F" at the begining of their chassis codes, the "E" is now retired.

I currently do not own any BMW vehicle, but here is my feeling towards them:

BMWs I like very much: 5-series sedan, M5, 3-series sedan, M3, 3-series coupe

BMWs I don't like but also don't hate: 7-series, X5, 3-series wagon, 3-series convertible, 530xi wagon, 6-series coupe and convertible

BMWs I find very ugly: Z4, X3

I LOVE the z4, x5 and the new e90. I don't really like the older generation 3 series very much.

The X3 is ugly. It's a confused car. It doens't look like an SUV, or a wagon, or a car. It's kind of high off the ground, but not high enough and the body is not proportional at all. UGGGLYYY.

The 5 is really nice for the most part, but I don't liek the back. The butt has a ltitle part where the lip bends out? I think it's ugly. Redesign it.

I don't think I like the X3.. it will be OWNED when the Q5 and MLX is out.. but when a new X3 is coming I hope it will be really cool! Coz the X5 is really nice but alittle bit old now.. I like all BMW It's just that I dislike the X3 the most.. but I don't hate it!

there was a thread of the ugliest BMW, but maybe this is more general, "which car u dont like", it didnt say the look only, or am i mistaken???

well, about the look, i have some opinions:

1. Many BMWs looks awfwly strange when they 1st come out, but then u start saying: "u know?? BMW was right designing this car like that"
( i heared that in one of top gear's videos)

2. the E60 is one of the best looking BMWs IMO, n the 6-er n Z isnt bad either :rocks:

3. worst looking is the X3 IMO.
