Hi folks. I thought I'd share my experience/story with you guys.
It all started with the previous M550i lease coming to an end.
Coming from an M550i I wanted something in the BMW family as I did really enjoy that car.

Working together with my friend, I decided on the M850i coupe and found this lovely little thing waiting for me in Iowa. I made an offer for it and when it was accepted...the deal was something I couldn't refuse. The spec wasn't exactly how I wanted it, but it was pretty darn close.

After some head scratching and hand wringing, I finally went for it and had the car shipped to me. When I finally got the car, I felt like a kid again =)

As the driver released it off his trailer, he mentioned that he just drove a 1000 miles in 2 days O.O
Hats off to these hard workers that don't get enough credit. That can't be easy doing this day in and day out.

Modifications

This car came with the cerium finish and I decided that I really wanted to do a cerium delete.

I far prefer everything in gloss black, except for the Exhaust tips which I prefer in that Cerium finish. Something about silver tail pipes I find a classic design.

I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like, so that evening I got to my laptop and starting searching. Since I did get the car with a Carbon Roof, I wanted to match it with some additional carbon pieces. I really wanted to get that Carbon Diffuser look and I liked the OEM style of it.

That evening I ended up order the following:

OEM PARTS
Part Number: 51-13-8-080-611 Black Kidney Grille (For cars with Parking Assistance Plus)
Part Number: 51-13-8-080-613 Black Left Fender Molding
Part Number: 51-13-8-080-614 Black Right Fender Molding

Part Number: 51-12-8-074-817 Carbon Rear Diffuser Bumper Trim
Part Number: 51-12-8-077-594 Rear Diffuser Trim Panel Bumper
Part Number: 51-12-8-077-464 Tow Hook Cover for Carbon diffuser

Part Number: 82-12-0-042-710 Laser Slimline License Plate Frames
Part Number: 82-12-0-010-404 M Logo License Plate Frame

After ordering the parts, I realized it was pretty much June and the start of summer. I needed tints ASAP. I called up my good buddy Sean @ Platinum Window Tinting in Medford, Long Island.
I've been going to Sean for nearly 10 years and he does excellent work. He also just moved into an even nicer facility.

I brought my brother in-law and my other good friend to get tints done. Me and the BIL got matching Barcelona Blue M850's. One coupe and one Gran Coupe.
For the Record - He got it first =)

We all went with the XPEL Ceramic XR Films @ 20%

The parts started flowing in when I then stumbled onto the 3D Design spoiler from Japan and started drooling over it.
Also looked over a few other goodies IND Performance had on their website.

HUGE SHOUT OUT to my buddy Ryan@IND-Performance for being patient with my questions and getting me a package on all the parts I wanted. I fully recommend working with him. I ended up ordering the following:

3D Design G15 Carbon Rear Trunk Spoiler
IND G15 M850i Painted Front Reflector Set - Barcelona Blue
IND G15 M850i Painted Rear Trunk Emblem - Gloss Black
IND G15 M850i Painted Roundel for Trunk- (Still on back order)

r33_RGSport
I realized that I still had the Cerium Mirrors to deal with, so reached out to RG Sport who was answering IG DM's on a Sunday Evening!
*GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
He assured me that the G30 Mirrors are the same exact as the G15 mirrors.
So I ended up ordering a set of the:
Autotecknic Replacement Version II Dry Carbon Mirror Covers in a Gloss finish

Slowly the parts started coming in.

I also wanted to use wheel spacers to space out that crazy gap the coupes have on the rear fender.
Specs for spacers on coupe were scarce and I did want to play around with the spec a little bit.

I called One Eighty Design and they were willing to find the right spec for me in person.

They're a great shop to work with and got me in quickly.
Everything was done as expected with no surprises. They've got some amazing cars in there.

I had them also install the:
Gloss black rear m850i emblem
Wheel Spacers on all 4 wheels (10mm front, 20mm rear)
IND G15 M850i Painted Front Reflector Set

I too did a Cerium delete after BMW messed up my 2nd custom order on a 2020 M850i. My dealer did it all including the exhaust tips in SShadowline along with the carbon fiber mirror caps (which I'd highly recommend). Thanks for the info on the carbon fiber parts for the rear bumper as I still need to get that done in order to do the "greyish" delete there. Ironically, it looks like those parts are coming up solely for the 2019s vs the 2020s but as far as I know there should not be any differences between the model years for those parts.

Standing by to see what the outcome is on your 2019 and will make my decision from there. Enjoy the new drive!

Thanks Bloozeman! Your posts have been helpful when researching. I appreciate the sentiment. I got the carbon mirror caps, just didn't get around to writing it up on the first go.

Looking absolutely fantastic and I see an appointment in the not too distant future with a local mod shop to install some spacers (using your specs) along with the Individual painted reflectors given they've added Tanzanite Blue as per my request.

Any chance you can provide some detail on removing the side vents? I've got the replacement ones in hand & I've been searching for a how-to or a YouTube video to no avail.

Hey Saunders, sorry for not getting to this earlier. I didn't install them myself, but from what I was told it was extremely easy. I believe they pop right out, but don't quote me on that

Sorry for the lack of updates... I'll try to catch up now.

Finally got the OEM Carbon Rear Diffuser in and had it installed at WD Ultimate in Uniondale. Will and Mike are great guys, and it took them no time at all to take care of this for me.

PS - The box was massive!
I can't imagine what shipping costs on such a big box.
Thank goodness for free shipping over $299 lol.

Love the CF diffusor! Any chance you found a way to replace those trapezoidal exhaust rings with gloss black or CF versions?
