You know me too well.

I've probably thought on this while driving for 4 or 5 hours in total. Here's my shortlist in no particular order:

- MMMMMM8 (yummy 8)
- TOLD YA (Dragstrip context)
- M 8 AMG (M ate AMG)
CHECKM8 ?
I like it... but who does it offend? That's important you know.

Of course he didn't stop by... He's changed... Looks down on the peons of the F90 crowd now... He's too good for us...

Congrats on the car tho, she's a beaut... Bullet point the differences with the F90... How much wider / longer is it to the out going?

Wow, I haven’t seen the m8 forums move so quickly. Big props to Ben@rg sport and limey to be the first to lower the platform. I have been contemplating this for months but couldn’t get the balls to do it

I can't fly yet. Damn Coronavirus.
See why limeypride took off right away after I finished with his car.

He is trying to get away from the pandemic.

1 day old 2020 BMW M8 Competition GranCoupe got treated by me, personally, on a few simple mods to beautify this already gorgeous ride.

Long story short, he has been hitting me up a few weeks prior to delivery. Planning things out on what and how to get things done before driving this gorgeous car to its home, 1000+ miles away. I hope this time this M8C will stay home for much longer time than his M5's.

After a few discussions and deep research into BMW parts catalog, not knowing what may or may not fit on this new platform which no one even ever touch or do any mods. We both came to an agreement that he is willing to be the "Guinea Pig" on the suspension.

So, the day is finally here.
After a sleepless night (got very excited on this build), this morning, I picked up the car and lend him my F97 X3MC to go around town while I am working on his car. Almost 8 hours later after hitting some snags and 2 hours wasted, here are the outcome.

List of mods:
- H&R Sport Spring for G30 M550
- H&R 15/11 Wheel Spacer in Black
- AutoTecknic Paddle Shifter in Gloss Black to match his Carbon Fiber / Piano Black Interior trim
- RaceChip GTS Black
- Coding (Anti-Dazzle, Trunk close via Keyfob, Video in Motion, etc)

Side Note: Original plan was to use some height adjustable spring instead of H&R Spring. But, I found out that it was missing parts in the set that I received. So we decided to take a big gamble on H&R Spring which the result was spectacular.

Without further due, here are the before and after pictures.

Enjoy, feel free to comment or PM for pricing since I can't quote price openly as per forum policy.

Last Side Note: Apology on the iPhone pictures. I hope it is good enough. It will take me months before I can post, if I use DSLR to take the pictures.

Sadly, I apparently dragged Seattle's bullshit weather with me and ruined California for a day or two—sorry duuuuuuudes! As hard as we tried, we couldn't quite make the frozen beauty shine (figuratively) in such lackluster lighting conditions.

I'll post more here—positive and negative—as I learn the car.

One photo from the sunny day prior.
congrats on the M8 Comp GC! beautiful car!

😊

I'm taking her to Park Place on Monday for a wash and to discuss paint protection and tints. It's early, though, but if you're around, we could meet up then.

Very good looking car though I don't understand the logic of modding suspension on day 1, at least have some behind the wheel time (say at least post break in) before changing suspension would be my vote.

Though I suppose you can always change back to stock...

That is all depends.

I personally and most of my customers would like to lower it first before they go with custom wheels.

Some do it the other way around.

But these days, original wheels designs are good enough where most will lower, use wheel spacers and call it the day.

Miko, sense Spring making is your profession.... can you make the same height but softer rate?

So it can take those potholes easier? Roads are super bad here in IL.
