It doesn't have air suspension, it has springs. They were too long so I took them off and put shorter ones on and now it looks better.

Per MikoM, this is about the going rate for OEM springs so it's not like I've soiled the car or anything.

What made you think it has air suspension?
I am pretty sure H&R kept the Spring Rate the same just shortened them up.

You can have different preload but the same Rate.

Basically dropping the hight down.

I make single, double, triple and quadruple Spring Rate.

The picture shows multiple rate Spring.

Thought I remember reading a car review that the grand coupe had air suspension but I know this is the competition version and after checking it it has the M adaptive suspension.

Just food for thought you should check out what KW is doing I'm thinking they are going to release a proper adaptive suspension system for the M8 Grand Coupe.
These springs preserve the dampener controls. I used them on 2 F90s and couldn't be happier. I've just driven 600 miles on them and, aside from making the car look great, it's riding beautifully.

I don't get some of these comments either. Lowering the car with sport springs or coil overs is a proper thing to do and doesn't diminish the car at all.

Like Bagging

These are light and tasteful drops.

Yes what are you thinking limeyride - doing what you want to your own car.

Honest to God BMW has a subset of the worst pricks out of anyone. Audi and porsche forums aren't near as bad.

It was literally something I considered before buying my new BMW.

I think the quote was referencing ccondo’s post. That being said, it seems to be a bit more than coincidence that 80 percent of the dick posts on this forum come from M2 owners. Of course, the one who made the original comment happens to own.....yes, an M2. These were the same guys who a few weeks ago (in response to a thread on the home page about which car one would rather own if money were no issue...the M2 or M8) all basically said any M car above the M4 is trash and bloated rockets, have no steering feel, etc.....even though all of those cars will walk an M2 and do so quickly.

These guys somehow think the M2 (basically an entry class car barely worthy of the M name) is God’s gift to racing.

Limeys drop looks good....it’s a good height. I’ve seen some M5 owners who literally have it dropped like it’s a low-rider......they look like trash. These aren’t Civics.

I don't know which comment you guys are referring to, can you clarify?

Ccondo's post was a sarcastic but supportive post supporting me in it being OK to do whatever the hell I like to the car... at least that's how I read it. :

Yes, it was. Agreed. However I think the guy who asked what was up with that comment didn’t realize ccondo’s post was referencing that earlier clown’s post saying stuff about your car. I assume he didn’t read the whole thread and thought ccondo’s post came out of nowhere.

I think you missed our thread in the M5 forum, I wasn’t sure how to tag you in a post. Are the M8 exhaust tips attached the same way as the M5 ones (push-ons with the little pin sticking up)? We were wondering if the M8 tips might fit the M5.

lol

I will add this: the M8 is wearing 35% profile tires and that's helped a lot. I drove across every significant water-spanning bridge in San Francisco today and those roads are utter utter gobshite—the pot holes should be given names of their own... like Grand Span'yon or 'Journey to the center of...'; you get the point. My '20 M5 would've bump-stopped its way through all of them because (I deduce) of the 30% tire profile.

I'm still going to dump the Pirellis in favor of PS4S running 295s rear and 285s front but I'm going to try the 35% profile this time.
