She's here and still forming an opinion!
Exhaust certainly is a weak point as my M5 has a DINAN Axle back and X Pipe! Easy to say M5 is a more raw ///M car! While I would have not liked that but there's something about being 40+ yo and less raw ///M that's appealing lol
It's a DD

Thanks

Congrats!!!
I believe only Akrapovic that is currently available in the market.
noushy bought one from me.

I don't think Remus or Dinan have it yet.

Maybe do secondary cat delete if you want volume.

I think Eisenmann has one but never to impressed with them. Love my akrapovic, agree it's pricey but on a $178k car it wasn't to hard to justify. There will be a M performance one coming but given they stopped 2021 coupes and convertibles for now I wouldn't hold my breath.

Beautiful! I was seriously considering this color combo for a convertible. But in Massachusetts, convertibles are not very practical. So instead decided to go with a coupe. Will probably get it delivered some time next week.

I am also coming from 2018 M5.

i am running secondary catless downpipe’s. no CEl or tune needed. gives the car a nice increase in volume and bark. i am happy for now until remus release their unit.

i have a strong feeling the f90 axle back is exactly the same. heard the chassis is a little shorter so a full system should fit with a little modification

Price being no object, Akrapovic wins by a convincing margin.

Do you have any recording of your sound with the catless downpipes?

Also, when revving there are no pops and bangs.. are they tuned out from the factory?

it’s kind of weird. there is pops and bangs but not as predictable with any other BMW and not so frequent. only in Sport + and is not annoying. actually like the reduced amount

no videos yet but will try to take some one day. i only have the secondary downpipe’s. primary will cause a cel and you will get smell

Yeah certainly subdued pops and crackles than my M5 F90 when it was stock! Let alone after DINAN and XPipe

Question?
Will X Pipe alone be helpful? For M8?

I have sent an inquiry to FI Exhaust in regards to catless ultra high flow downpipes. See here:
