Madness it is. Barely following the news here anymore, so tired of hearing all the rubbish on climate change Just following international news and as soon climate is mentioned, gone it is.

Where is the 13 million Euro carbon fibre boat that she sailed on with a bunch of staff across the Atlantic? I don't see that in the pic, definitely fake news

Interesting read but I don't agree with the conclusion I can't imagine that much ice melting so quickly and suddenly to generate a wave two miles high with so much force to uproot a tree and dump it into the ocean in under two days.

And assuming you want to go down these paths, control of the technologies and techniques would be of significant strategic advantage - so why would you share that in a scientific geek-fest?

Ah so you would like the scientific community to gatekeep data on something they are trying to push global policy on. If it a local advancement that seems sounds but considering how they are trying to make all nation complaint on co2 = we are all going to die nonsense shouldn't they be unfront and open with all the info and data especially since the science is settle and indisputable.

It like a historian saying the revolution never occured and you ask why and they say, i can't share it with you because it top secret.

Baseless anti-American rhetoric from the ivory towers of academia? Gosh, there's something you never see. If they had any integrity at all, they'd admit their hypocrisy and refuse any further government funding. I think holding our breath while waiting for that to happen would be ill-advised.

The US has the deepest pockets, and that's what it's all been about from the get-go.

Just what does one have to do to become an "expert on climate engineering governance"?? I may need a new career soon.

I'm guessing you'd have to have a vaguely science-y degree and be able to recite the latest IPCC report from memory. Bonus points for piercings and tattoos, especially if the tattoos say "Orange Man Bad."

So, then no suit required? As long as I don't have to wear skinnys, I can probably manage a fake piercing or 3. My Lakota Circle of Life ink COULD be construed as "Orange, BAD!!!"

They'll exempt you from the skinny pants rule as long as your chest measures no larger than your hips. Grown men have no place here.

I'm imagining a herd of neckbeards shaped like bowling pins, who are always pushing their glasses up on the bridge of their noses. They reek of Cheetos and artisanal pickle fumes.
