insurance question

OK, so here's the thing. My mom is buying me a car but for reasons i cant discuss here, the car cannot be under my name. so i was wondering if she can buy the car using her name and then add my name to the insurance? Thanks

I do not have kids myself but isn't that what parents do? My dad added me to his insurance when I got 16 and I was able to drive his Econoline. Fortunately, I did not crash the car.
