Just started it. I’m a little annoyed by the Freevee logo on screen and commercials but hopefully the commercials aren’t excessive.

They kind of left it open for a season 5.

I watched The Pentaverate on Netflix over the weekend. I enjoyed it, but it's seriously one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen written and filmed.

Jason said that it's done and they may have gotten out alive been they're limping away. Does anyone else love that Julia Gardner emerged to stardom as Ruth? I think that she signed a deal with Netflix for another project.

She was also excellent on The Americans in Season Three. She recently played Anna Delvey on Inventing Anna and she was great in that too, hope to see her in a lot more roles.

finally finished season 4 of MMM as well, but i disagree, to some extent, with this assessment...i think that final scene in S4E8 with lenny bruce puts season 4 and midge's career in perspective. the writers intentionally have her wallowing a bit because it aligns with the decisions / mistakes her character makes. hopefully it sets the stage for greater story and character progression in S5.

the writing on this show is just so good...so sharp...and all of the actors deliver it with impeccable timing.

The writing is still strong, it just didn't help that the show was a weekly thing rather than streaming at once. The momentum of continuing the show week to week without too much happening each episode made it feel more like a drag.

Lol, there are still plenty of shows I watch week to week, but my point is with Maisel, the pacing was so slow that as weeks went by it felt like the story wasn't going anywhere for some time. With weekly shows they need to be able to have the viewer hyped or excited for the next week, with Maisel this season I thought they could do more, I was more so tuning in honestly for Abe and Rose more so than Midge. Season 2 and the Catskills are still some of the best episodes in my opinion.

She was just FANTASTIC wasn't she and yeah seems to have launched her career. She has lost a lot of weight though, compare her in the first season to the last season and she's dropped quite a lot to keep hollywood happy i imagine.

She was great in Ozark and very good in the Americans. Couldn't get into Inventing Ana and thought The Assistant sucked. Hope she gets some good projects going forward.

Good, and unfortunately, your passive aggressiveness did draw me out. I'll try not to let that happen again.

We finally got a chance to watch S4 E8, last night. I was thinking to myself. "Geez, she's a tiny little thing."

Of course, now I won't be able to watch anymore until Sunday. The fiance leaves for Phoenix in the morning, is boarding the dogs. I will have the house to myself from tomorrow morning to Sunday afternoon.

Going to be glorious.

I came >this< close to booking myself a res at restaurant I know she wouldn't care for (typically at least a few dishes with seafood and she hates seafood). They have some surprise openings while she's gone.

It was named best new restaurant in the US a few years ago when it opened. The type of place you go in, 10 course meal, you eat what they serve and get a wine pairing as well.

She was like, "You should do it. You never do anything for yourself."

But then I was like, "Do I really want to spend ~$280 for one meal by myself?"

You did read that post in the marriage thread, about "do whatever you want" not really meaning what you think it means, right?

First 4 episodes of Bosch Legacy down, so far so good. Sticking with the formula/style that worked for the original Bosch series.
