RVG catted downpipes: flanges don't fit!!

I ordered the g n63tu3 series ( x50i, m550i, m850i) catted 200 cell downpipes and just recently had a local shop attempt to install them.. to no avail. It looks like only 3 flanges actually met the oem mounting points and only 1 of the 2 holes on each. The last flange is off by a couple inches.

Looks like I'm out the install money and the heat treating done on the pipes. What's worse is that ahead of ordering I voiced my concern on fit and was assured that each item is tested in a jig. Not sure how their qc is but obviously something is amiss at RVG.

I'll hear tomorrow if they'll do the right thing and cover these costs as they should. Happy to report back on the outcome.

Damn, sorry to see what happened to you.
Took a look at their website, sure enough my suspicion was right.
They just reselling whatever others are selling by importing it from child laborer country.

Hope you get your money back.

Ya, I have emails and I can resolve the purchase but the other costs I'll have to recover through other means.

Just a heads up to avoid RVG.

They both coming out from the same region, possibly same factory.
I have dealt with that product’s poor quality too.

What brand do you recommend for 8 series, 200 cell dp?

Unfortunately, nothing that I can recommend, all that I've seen are China stuff with bad fitment.
Evolution Racewerks doesn't have one since we can't get a car for development and test fit.
Also, 200 cells will throw CEL.

If a 200 cel throws a cel what won't besides oem? A catless dp will certainly throw a code. I'm trying to keep the car fairly civil so no catless.

Gotta get the one with good 400 cells expensive catalytic.
ActiveAutowerke uses a good cat.

My shop got the pipes to work with custom flanges put in. The ones from rvg were in total wrong location. RvG gave no support either so I would avoid them at all costs.

Was supposed to pick up the car this morning but wasn't able. I'll have the car back Monday and can see what they did. I also had the exhaust pipes wrapped from end of the dp past the trans pan. That alone should help with keeping the transmission heat stable ( running xhp stage 3).

There's 3 total mounting points on each: top middle bottom. Need to have at least 1 bolt of the 2 available for the top and bottom.

I think there was no problem with the o2 sensor or the turbine v band fit. It was with the 3 of the 4 upper and lower Brackets. The one shown was the bottom bracket and inches off. The other bottom fit ( I believe that one fit) and the others had one bolt out of the 2. The mirror brackets also didn't fit right.

I'll have more pics Monday.

So got the car back and it seems to be a little more responsive mid throttle and a bit more raspy, deep. What I don't hear which I was hoping to hear was the turbine whistle. I have the bmc filters with the carbon removed too and if one didn't know better, you would swear this car was just n/a. There's no hint of turbo sound! I don't get it. I've had turbo cars most of my life and this is the first time not being able to hear a pronounced whining/ whistle with a dp. Was thinking to just swap in the s63 turbos and call it a day.
