I wear 35s front and rear on my M8; specifically: 295/35/20 rear and 285/35/20 front (Michelin PS4s).

I went with 30s on both of my M5s and, lowered, it was a bit too harsh a ride. Hence I've gone with fatter on the M8 but preserved the 35 profile.

Sorry, I don't know. That'd be a stretch both figuratively and literally for the stock wheels (can't recall if your wheels are stock). But why do you need it? It could be responsible for your axle issues and, even tuned, I have no issue putting the power down with Michelins.

My rule of thumb is to preserve the offset between front and rear. Granted, you're not far away but you're also the only car I know of with a broken axle... twice.

I am running the stock sizes on BMW M performance wheels with PS4s and no issues. I have driven it hard and fast and Michigan roads suck. No issues with 14000 miles. Not sure what is wrong with your car maybe a bad diff that locks up and torques on the shaft? Something else is wrong.

Pretty obvious this is due to the tire setup. Stock tire sizes are fine.

Also, why are some of you putting 22s on a M8? It seems pointless.
